Welbeck will fill his boots against the worst defence in the Championship.
Posh's new hoofball manager brought in a rock in the middle of defence called Exodus Geohaghon, and like a rock, all he does is stay very very still. He can throw a ball a very long way, which is the sum total of excitement at London road these days.
Sean St Ledger will get mindless stick from the locals - he was booed non stop when he came back with Middlesborough.
Posh used to be good in attack, but it turns out that was in Division 1 only. The 'Mac Attack' are no more, their ability to hit the back of the net is matched only by the ability of Joe Lewis to catch crosses.
Don't know what sort of reception Fergie will get, but he deserves a warm welcome for getting the club so far without proper backing.
Posh 0 - Preston 3.
I'll be in the home stand with junior, who wants to wear his Preston top.
