In a way I'm glad the club aren't or don't really seem involved but I did think the LEP would big it up a bit.
16 Strollers mobilised 8.30am with a lengthy stop for lunch! This is a full compliment of elderly bowlered gents who really know their onions....
We may even have a special guest, Johnny Macken may enlighted you.

To be fair to the L.E.P. they did run the story a couple of weeks back in Saturday's paper. I'm hoping that Dave Seddon will run it again before the weekend.
With regards to the club, they understand that this is a fans event, organised by the fans, for the fans, and they do not try and hijack it. However they have always been supportive and help in promoting it, and Derek himself has bought bowlers for the supporters in the past.
I hope that we continue with it for many years to come :gentry:
I hope everyone enjoys The Gentry, and that it is something that P.N.E. will always be linked with, in remembering the past, present and future North Enders for ever more.:gentry:

Unfortunately I left it too late to ask the club to help us out with bowler hats on behalf of PSG this year😱 I am sure had I asked earlier they would have helped us because they have in the past as you say John.

You''ll be throwing all your hats on the pitch at half time, as we go in 8-0 down.

He clearly is mistaken. What he means is we will throw them on the pitch when we are 8-0 up so that St Ledger or Beast can don them and dance in front of us a-la Lucketti and Nugent at QPR (and Leeds, was it?).

Nugent wore a carrot mask at Leeds, he's a Japanese Manga superhero is Carrot Splash. But at QPR he wore the bowler.
That was a big CSC day out, that was.
Where's our Nugent now, eh? Sack of p1ss.

I remember QPR, but not Watford. I was very drunk at Watford after having only had 2 hours sleep following a rather large night out in Roper on the Friday then getting the 6 am train.
