Match Preview:- (From Sporting Life)

Newcastle manager Chris Hughton could name the same side that thrashed Coventry 4-1 on Wednesday when Preston visit St James' Park on Saturday.
Hughton has no new injury worries and his only selection dilemma is whether or not to start Alan Smith.
The Magpies' captain was left out against the Sky Blues in midweek with Danny Guthrie and Kevin Nolan being preferred in midfield.
Nicky Butt (thigh) and Jose Enrique (hamstring) are working their way back to full fitness but they will not be included in the squad.
Shola Ameobi (hamstring) and Steven Taylor (knee) are further absentees, while Joey Barton (foot) is set to return to training this week following his injury lay-off.

Preston manager Darren Ferguson could wield the axe.
Ferguson was left fuming after his side slumped to a dismal 5-3 defeat against Derby at Pride Park on Tuesday.
He was particularly scathing of his defenders after drafting Neill Collins and Tom Williams - signed on loan from Peterborough - into his back four.
They replaced Youl Mawene and Michael Hart in the starting line-up, but Ferguson could ring the changes in defence and elsewhere.
Left-back Williams seems certain to again deputise for Callum Davidson, who has missed the last six games through injury and may miss out again.
Midfielder duo Richard Chaplow (groin) and Paul Parry (knee) could also remain sidelined while long-term absentee Barry Nicholson (broken leg) is still out.

The Player of the Year Table is as follows:-
Lonergan 5
Mellor 4, Sedgwick 4
Brown 3, Chaplow 3, Parry 3,
Coutts 2,
Carter 1, Chilvers 1, Davidson 1, Hart 1, Nolan 1, Parkin, Shumi 1, St Ledger 1, Tonge 1, Wallace 1, No-one 1

Lonergan, Mawene, Sedgwick, St. Ledger, Coutts, Welbeck, Jones, Williams, James, Wallace, Parkin. Subs: Hart, Carter, Chilvers, Treacy, Henderson, Elliott, Mellor.

Disgraceful he's not been given a chance. O wait, he fucked up at Morecambe remember (not that Lonners ever does), so can't play for us again.

With Parry to join that lot is it time for Mayor and Barton to go out and play some first team football on loan as DF obviously does not think the are ready yet?

Why is Brown not even on the bench? Didn't he score when he came on Vs Derby? Why is useless Elliott on the bench instead?
