The inaccuracy of the story about Caldwell is also compounde by the stories about Wallace and Mawene.

Also the story about Mawene is patently untrue. He has had all summer to sign a contract by 30 June. His contract expired on that date and therefore he is no longer an employee of PNE. Why would we take a non -contracted player to Spain who has clearly stated his intent not to re-sign! PNE's contract offer will now have been revoked.

If WFG is getting this info of people at our training camp , A. they are winding you up or B. they should not be working for north end.
When are people on this forum going to give the backing that burnley and blackpool fans give there clubs.
We have a new manager, chairman and a new owner FFS give them a chance!

If Wallace did not want to go then how come he has gone. He had a contract at PNE. No one could force him to sign for Burnley.

Also he says on the Burnley site that he 'jumped at the chance' to sign.

Caldwell is a free agent and could not be a makeweight in any deal.

From what I have heard there is going to be a complete review of every single penny leaving the football club, this includes the contracts of all staff, and reviewing the suitabilty to the job.

I would not be surprised if some staff know they are being potted soon, and would take great delight in causing as much shit as possible before they leave.😱

In all fairness, Wallace is hardly going to say it's a side step move, and that he wanted to stay here. Facts are, we receive a decent sum for a player who in his position, we have 2 players in Parry and Treacy who can play there. It has also meant a massive wage earner is off the bill. Wallace also knows that in 2 years time his contract is up, and he would have to take a drop in wages to stay here. Dingles have equaled, or even increased his wages, and he doesn't have to uproot his family.

Couple of issues I have.

1. Wallace was told sign or your wages/players wages won't be paid.

I find this to be complete bollocks.

2. The other big two

We have no players on our books worth keeping. If St Ledger, Jones or Lonergan go then who gives a shit? Trevor Hemmings has not taken the club over to see us get relegated. I have more faith in the strategy of Hemmings and Lindsay than Derek. If these players go, they will be replaced.

Stop crying over spilt milk.

For God's sake Saint, belt up. How gullible are you? You are wanting to believe every negative fabricated story because your hero is on the way out.

Sean St Ledger is no longer a cult hero and a high percentage of PNE fans will not mourn his departure. His performances and attitude, after we turned down Celtic's offer for him, were woeful and insulting respectively.

Don't need to. As long as a suitable replacement is found it doesn't matter whether he is an up and coming international.

Did Blackpool and Burnley achieve promotion with up and coming international centre backs?

We could sign Wayne Brown (free) + Richie de Laet (loan) + Craig Morgan (say £350k) and still have masses left from the sale of SSL to strenghten other areas of the team. Sell Parkin as well for £500k and the same applies.
 
And blackpool did it with a Lad they signed from Mansfield town in the conference at center half.

Unbelievable.
