Just remember he'd run through brick walls on the pitch. And that will do for me.

He shouldn't "give-it-the big-sell' of any PNE player to any other Club. Especially not ' wearing' the Captains Armband.
 
Depends who he tried to move on 🙄

We've all worked with, ahem, talented people that actually disrupt the team more than they contribute.

If he'd really done what is suggested, I'm sure he'd have been fined and stripped on captaincy.
 
So hes right behind the lads when hes in the stands and on the radio... is that not a major point right there ?? Doesnt a captain lead by example on the pitch showing the younger players the way forward and driving the team in the way of Alexander,Gregan and Lucketti did recently spring to mind. Players who were in the 11 90 per cent of the time. In my opinion hes overweight for a pro footballer and is workshy, it was big mistake giving him a new contract last time.

Anyone got the stats on how many games Davidson has played out of the amount of games in the period since 2004 when he signed. I can imagine its pitiful.

I'm not even saying the guy is a bad player or in fact a bad captain/guy but it just gets to me when he gets given the armband and yet look at the reasons above ive stated. North End have wasted a good wage on this guy in my opinion.

Is that the sign of a club captain i think not.
 
totally disagree with this thread. so does darren ferguson judging by what he's said about him. callum will play the holding role this season and be injured far less.

Add to all of the above he spends half the season on the treatment table, I find it a disgrace that he still has the armband.

No doubt there are other things that I have missed out.

A captain of our club should be a figure head, someone with immense pride of wearing the shirt, someone who inspires the players and fans alike, the Gregans and Alexanders of this world.

I would be delighted if the stories about Dickinson are correct, then finally we can boot this clown out of our football club.

You know as much about a football vaptain as you obviously do about playing a guitar and singing.

Surely it's a good thing for the captain to advertise the availabilty of any PNE players if the money was so desperately needed. He would not have done so off his own bat anyway but with the full backing of management otherwise he would have at least received a fine as a minimum punishment.

Davidson is a good captain probably the only player who gives 100% everygame we need to get behind the team and fergie.Where out of finacial difficulty now we wont end up there again.We have a pretty decent team bar a few at least where still preston north end and not deepdale whites if we had wound up or something like that .Im optimistic for the new season we need to stabilise stay in the league for 1 or 2 seasons and start again we will be back keep the faith.Come on you whites.
