So thats a back four of:

Jones St. Ledger Brown Davidson​

The only weak link there for me is Davidson. A full back needs pace, and there's only so much reading of the game you can do to make for a lack of it. Time to go, Mr Davidson.

You have to love how Ferguson bigs up his signing from Leicester as the mainstay of their defence as they reached the play-offs last season. If that's the case Ferguson, why don't you tell us about your Peterborough signings who, like you, have tried at this level and failed? 😱

As for our strongest back four, slot Nolan in there instead of Davison and we have a pretty good defence. Sadly, since Nolan is one of the many players to have had a run-in with our affable manager, a left back still remains very much a priority in our summer signing spree. No doubt another failed Championship "star" from London Road - i.e. the Peterborough left back - will be joining us next week 🙄

That's funny, I was under the impression that we have just signed a international centre half?

I must of been wrong eh?

I'm pleased we are building from the back, we conceded way too many goals last season, and this is being addressed.

Also I could of sworn that Paul Coutts was our best player in the second half of the season, this dispite being carrying two injures!

I don't think he'll sign Tom Williams again.
 
Morgan has international experience, Brown was part of a defence that conceded only 45 goals in 46 games. What's wrong with that?

Nolan was brought in as one for the future in the centre half or right back position , he is not left footed. A failed championship star who is an International ?
