The Preston North End squad have arrived at their warm weather training camp in Marbella, Spain looking to get in tip top condition ahead of the new season.

The players left Deepdale at 5am this morning for their eight o'clock flight to Malaga from Manchester Airport.

New signings Paul Hayes and Matty James were present amongst the PNE favourites ready to sweat it out in the heat of sunny Spain.

The squad arrived in at around 1:30pm local time with an average temperature of 22°C.

Ferguson has brought along a selection of the first year pro's together with youth team player Bailey Wright.

The boys will be worked over split sessions, the first beginning at 10:00am with the second session starting at 17:30pm.

This is a serious taining camp, no Simon Whaleys breaking their foot against a coffee table whilst going for a 4am slash whilst in the dark of his apartment. 😀

Aye, I'd like it if work flew me out to Marbella for a week too! Let's face it, it's just a lads piss up. We'll be getting regular updates about how Parkin is in jail, for confusing the local police who thought he was two people at once. God help us if we sign Brown and he is flown out there, he'll be playing catch up on the drinks, and will have assaulted a takeaway employee after he didn't understand what chips and gravy is.

Hmm! - must be this climate change, probably down to the polar changes that are imminent.

I heard that this will cause the Sahara to become a cross-country ski resort and tropical beaches around the Baltic. 😱
