Wonder if shaw was watching the blackpool game

Jesus h christ....how many times did i tell people shaw ran pne the way he ran ribble valley shelving and that he was without ambition for either company, content merely to keep both ticking over
Blackppol and burnley fans must be laughing themselves silly at our plight and itas all down to pne fans not heeding warningsabout shaw that i,Voldemort and a small handful of others were begging to be heard
Talk about a voice crying alone in the wilderness

Yawn

Why should Derek be given directors seats?

NOthing stopping him forking out £25 to sit with the rest of us plebs though...but probably doesn't think its worth the money.

Ironic, really, as he set the ticketing prices for the season.

Big, fat WELL DONE DEREK from me....

It all depends on what you would call success, doesn't it. I would call a top ten finish of the second tier of English football successful.
As we achieved that in more seasons than not under DS then that to me is success. WDD.

Obviously now under the current regime we will be measuring success differently. 21st to me would be fantastic this season!

Mmmmm you have a point but, I wonder how much of a measure of success there will be after 10 years rather than 4 months you compare it with🙄

Blackpool won promotion not because they spent millions of pounds on strengthening their squad but through having a very good manager who made some very astute signings and got the team playing well above everyones expectations.

It wasnt ambition that got the lashers promoted last season it was thier mangers ability to get the players he had playing to the best of their ability, Dipshits like you need to realise this and move on...

I don't see how running the club into the ground and millions of debt can be seen as anything but ambitious. It also suggests horrible judgement and/or complete incompetence. I never doubted Dereks motives - just whether he had a clue what he was doing!

I wouldn't put holloway above moyes or bd in terms of ability but they couldn't take us up...shaw never took a gamble despite moyes and bd crying out for extra funds

The job Holloway has done at Shitpool is nothing short of miraculous he has achieved something very few managers could. In terms of the money they have spent to gain promotion it was very little with a very tight wage structure.

I know a couple of lashers and they all say that Karl Oyston is a tight arse and it is a well known fact that holloway nearly walked out because Oyston didnt want to increase his wages. Blackpool havent really had the funds available to them at any point until their promotion they were just very fortunate they had such a great season.

Before going to 'pool holloway was a decent enough manager but nowt special.....maybe him at 'pool is just a case of being in the right place at the right time
