I would have him back here in a flash, especially on a free. Just had his contract terminated. Anyone else think he's worth trying to get, especially with our problems at left back?

Would be a great addition to the squad but this ship has more than likely sailed and he will prob end up at Barnsley whilst we twiddle our thumbs.

I hope Brown and Horton have been made aware of his availability and that his wage demands are not to excessive for us.

I would love to have him back, his energy, motivation and evident respect for the club would be very much needed in a relegation fight.

I've never really understood how popular Matt Hill was with North End fans. He tried hard and had a good leap on him but his distribution of the ball was appalling and he was as injury prone as Callum (well, almost). Nonetheless, given our predicament at left-back at the moment he would do for me and he'd probably be quite well suited to that wing-back role.

No thanks. Wasn't good enough when he was with us and has certainly not improved. As stated above his distribution and crossing was below par. Like SSL he was popular with the fans because he was enthusiastic and seemed like a good guy. Hopefully Barnsley will sign him - if they don't, then that really would reveal what his current standard of play is like.

Had his contract terminated speaks volumes, you need to delve into the reasons why his contract was terminated before rushing him into our first team

A lot fo teams do this for players that get nowhere near there first team. Hill is a good quality Left back at championship level and would be a great addition to the squad.

At Barnsley till the end of the season cock. Been there since October, pity our former management team 'sat there twiddling their thumbs' as you say.
