Just noticed this and couldn't find this posted elsewhere on here.

The national press are reporting that Birmingham City are ready to make a bid for Andy Lonergan.

Lonergan has been at the centre of several rumours for a move away from Deepdale but the club appear to have received no firm offers. Phil Brown has only Arestidou as back up and would be reluctant to let Lonergan go only for him to sit on the bench at Birmingham.

Probably another rumour started in the Lonergan household, as usual.

I'd like to think it was true though, it would be the best comedy in years watching him in the Premiership.
 
Doubtful, we have no tested back-up, Brown stated that he won't sell if we're short in a particular area.

If it's silly money then o.k. But why would they offer silly money?

Fingers crossed but it's more than likely bullshit!
 
Why would Brum want him when they have Foster, And why would he leave to sit on a bench, As shit as I think Lonners is I think it would have to be 100% 1st team football on offer, Lets face it the clueless fucker is sitting pretty here safe in the knowledge he is number 1 and will not be replaced, Who in there right mind would leave this kind of security behind?

A prem club might pay him that but I dont think he will go anywhere to warm a bench when he is under no threat here.
I would carry this useless fucker to brum on my back if it meant we got rid of him.
Ill go in goal I dont believe I could do any worse than him.

I was speaking to a mate of his on Sunday and Lonners has told him that he wants out and if that Given leaves city then he's going there. 800k or there abouts.

Whether Lonners is talking shit to him I don't know but I do know he and my mate are good pals.

Nash has always been a bench warmer. PNE was really the only club he established himself as number 1.
Lonners is to used to being a number 1 to sit on a bench. And im more than sure the deluded prick thinks he is good enough to play for England so he wont bench warm. Saying that a move to city maybe to big to turn down.
