I hope we don't sign Iwelumo. The guy is a more immobile version of Jon Parkin.

I'm happy with a front pairing of Clarke and Ellington, reminds me very much of Roberts and Ellington at Wigan in 2005. In Hume we also have a Gary Teale type player.

I hope you mean 'more mobile'.

The only thing I know that is more immobile than Jon Parkin is a tree. Or a brick. ..Or .. something else that is very stationary. You get the idea.
 
I'd be really fucking annoyed if we've opted for Clarke over Iwelumo!!

Hopefully it was just a case of them needing bodies in whilst Austin was cup-tied and the deal isn't dead.

hopefully that will be the case, to think he wer on bench and only got last 25mins against burton albion and thats without charlie austin in the side hopefully he'll sign monday and ashbee aswell and then we just need a left back..

He said goalkeepers can be acquired on emergency loan at any time so he's not going to use up a loan on a goalie until it's needed. He said all 'football' people rate Lonergan highly. He said Arestidou could come on and do a job if necessary. He said if he brought someone in as first choice, if he were Lonergan he would put in a transfer request.

Think that's what he said.

I am not too bothered about Iwelumo right now. With Clarke, Ellington and Hume we are not desperately short upfront. A mobile central defender, a left-back and a forceful central midfielder are our real priorities. We can always dip into the loamn market for another striker in a few weeks if we really need one.
 
As someones already said why are we going for these players when we know we cant afford the wages.
Maybe its because they can always say we tried to get so and so in.
Think they are kidding us imo.

Maybe or it is maybe that some players will take a pay cut to hook up with old managers/ team mates?

To be fair they obviously want him off there wage bill with CA coming in so could be a chance of it.

On the other hand probably a line of clubs will be alerted to the fact Burnley want to sell him resulting in someone who can afford to offer more then 25p a week for him, coming in with a offer.
