Preston North End can confirm that Amine Linganzi will remain with the club on loan until the end of the season.

It was speculated that the midfielder, who is on loan from Blackburn Rovers, returned to his parent club after hobbling off on his debut against Leicester City two weeks ago.

However, Linganzi will be staying with the Lilywhites and is estimated to be returning to action again in four weeks.

Manager Phil Brown said: "Amine is currently undergoing his rehabilitation with the Blackburn Rovers physios and we anticipate that he could be back with the squad in around one month.

"It was unfortunate that Amine went off 45 minutes into his debut, but I am keen to keep him at Deepdale and I see him as an important player for the club this season."

In other words Rovers won't cancel the loan and then start the loan again when he is back to fitness.

Surely it works out better for us this way though. I mean correct me if I'm wrong but if we didn't sign him for the rest of the season now, we would only be able to get him for a 93 day emergancy loan once fit again, therefore not til the end of the season?

Glad we have kept him.
Him and Ashbee won't lose many midfield battles, its about time we had some steely bollocks in our midfield.

That's fantastic news eh??

What about now, getting players in that are ready now!!

If this is supposed to soften the blow of us not getting anyone else in then it's a piss poor effort in my opinion.

The only problem with is; if he struggles to regain fitness we get stuck paying his wages .

But fingers cross he will be fit as a fiddle in a few weeks, he looks like a cracking player.

I am surprised by this, I was expecting him to go back to Blackburn and that be it.

My worry is that he'll take a few weeks to get up to speed after he has recovered from his injury. We might be talking 6 or 7 weeks.
