Is it becaise he was swearing or because he was rightly calling Maurice for not selling Lonergan? I suspect it's the latter.

Cardiff have put in a derisory offer because "They don't value him very highly" says Maurice, they probably valued him realistically hoping that they could stop him showboating and teach him to deal with crosses. We've been trying for ten years with several different managers, and they've all failed.

Although Lonergan has obvious faults, I suspect his stats prior to Ferguson joining looked fairly good.

Ferguson's abysmal management and inability to organise a team defensively is the biggest reason we've conceded so many goals in the last 12 months. His shite tactics left Lonergan exposed and allowed the opposition to prey on his weaknesses.

I'm confident Phil Brown will sort it out.

Ferguson's appalling defensive coaching and organisation meant Lonergan's faults were exposed more.

I would wager the goals against tally will come down fairly rapidly under Phil Brown, and that won't be because Lonergan has suddenly become a better keeper.

Regardless, first thanks for your support and if I upset you with my strongly worded post for that I am sorry, it does however make my blood boil that Lindsay can spout off about how he turned down £1.5m for Lonners pre season and wear that as a badge of honour then turn down a silly bid from Cradiff but compound his inability by saying that he "probably" wouldn't have sold him anyway.

Lonners will cost PNE over £2m if he stays for the full term of his contract, we could have had the likes of Basso on a free (went to Wolves!!!) for example and banked £1.5m in July, Lonners off the wage bill etc etc etc, but to come out with a statement that made no sense at all to the future of PNE with his glib Cardiff quote really made my blood boil.

Lonners has been a liability for some time, I am not interested in his "wonder" shot stopping ability that is what he is paid to do, but having watched him at Coventry this season play an absolute blinder why the hell can the useless ###### not do this on a regular basis.

For Lindsay to turn down £1.5m is an absolute disgrace, we will never get that sort of bid again for Lonners.
