I think we are as good as down, I was excited about tonight, I thought tonight would bring us back within touching distance, all it has done is knock us back again.

People will choose who they want to blame, there are many people who are to blame but you have to look ultimately to the top and that is Hemmings. When we were struggling last time he made funds available to Irvine and he brought in players that kept us up, this time round he's thrown the towel in, couldn't give a shit. We have gone for shit players and will ultimately pay the price.

I agree absolutely with this paragraph. However, I would go further to say that if Hemmings had pulled his finger out while Moyes or Davies were here, we could well have been an established Premiership side by now. It wouldn't have had to be a life-long commitment financially. Look at how Wigan basically sustain themselves through selling on players at a profit now. I'm no businessman and Hemmings obviously has been very clever in the past to make the kind of money he has. However, I think he missed a trick by not investing when the going was good (in football generally and at PNE), and now he is left constantly bailing the club out financially, and he'll never see his money again.

I would have accepted all three bids for Jones, St.Ledger and Lonergan and started the re-building for next season's inevitable 1st division campaign right NOW. Instead Brown has already screwed it up BIG TIME and because he is totally devoid of any strategic thinking he has just consigned PNE to at least a decade in the abyss.

It's nailed on relegation now even for you blind faith super optimists. It could have been so different.

if north end had instead won last night, would you have been on here apologising for getting something wrong? would u fuck!! you are never wrong and buzz off letting people know that "fact" TWAT!

ALSO..... seeing as your post was at 10:30 last night it is obvious you did NOT attend the game. Therefore please stop spouting shit about which you 1) did not witness and 2) have no idea about.

gawd I cant beleive some of the stuff Ive just read, yea, we are in the shit big time but to say brown has consigned us to league one? unbeleivable! the only person to blame for the shit we are in in my opinion, was the person quite rightly potted a few weeks ago, I hoped he would come good, but it was clear to me by the en d of september he wouldnt, we should have got rid sooner.

Yes its BAD very bad, but we could be in the champions league with mourinho in charge and some folk would still moan
