I was expecting more last night from your lot under the tutalige of the Ronseal Man but i was left disapointed.
Whyever you have signed Leon Clarke I dont know. He struggled to hit a barn wall from the inside whislt he was at SWFC so dont have high hopes for him being your saviour.
I was suprised to see Treacy on the bench, he always looked pretty decent when I have seen him play.
The first half after the opening say 15 minutes your midfield lookd to be chasing shadows. Ashbee was a really good player at this level a few years ago but injury and lack of games told last night.
First goal was a lucky goal but when your in the shit its bad luck all the way. your keeper kept you in it first half for me as your highly rated defender types ie St Leger looked a pale comaprison to what i have seen of them from previous years.
Second half there was only one team still likely to score and that as us untill we took O Connor off. This coupled with your subs for me meant we lost the upper hand and allowed you to claw your way back in creating a number of openings down our flanks which were not exploited. Still, several times bfc broke and lookd threatening , the final ball was a let down. your entire back four looked slow and like they had concrete boots on, could cope with our pace.
Your keeper made some outstanding saves late in the second half, two the ball had seemingly already beaten him but they got stoppd on the line.
His kick in the last minute yes as shocking however, it fell to one of the slowest midfielders on our books and your outfield players just watched.
you can tell you have phil brown in charge given th increase in hard tackles in the second half but i do not think he is the man to keep you up.
Still saying that, it would seem you still have to play the blunts at Deepdale. A win would be ideal for th majority of Yorkshire as well at for PNE
