Because Cauncey, this is how I see it.
Mr Hemmings (TH) now owns the football club, and the football ground, and all it's assets. He was owed £14m before the "investment" (of less than £1m) to buy the club outright. I think the only external body who own anything at PNE now are FOPNE who own the club offices? (need back-up on that).
TH will invest next to fuck all to the football side of the company over the 12 months he'll be in charge of it. The football team will be relegated, asset stripped and then sold on. This means Mr Hemmings will acquire various funds, and make a bit of money back. Wages will then be minimal in League One and operating costs cut significently. with the football side of the company breaking even, this putting it "in the window" to be sold.
In my opinion, TH will keep hold of the stadium because the NHS will be paying for the operating costs for the next dozen years, at a ridiculous rental rate. After that, he'll either increase the rent or get new tenants for the IP stand and probably also add something to the museum site too.
When Billymac questioned Mr Lindsay about this at the forum, he was shot to pieces. I said at the time it was a PR stunt and a cover-up for the fans benefit, and it's looking like it sadly might be the case. We've been absolutely mugged by good old Magic and his pal.
This football club is dying, it's absolutely heartbreaking but there is fuck all me, you, or any of us on here can do about it. Such a bloody shame
Spot on again. Poster of the year so far Bayside.

You are a silly boy Dirk.
Shaw, Irvine, Ferguson and Simpson are not there any more and dont have anything to do with the club.
Hemmings and Maurice are running the club NOW.
As they are the ones who have taken on the responsibility, and in doing so turned the club into a steep nosedive, they are currently responsible.
However we hear nothing from our owner, and just bullshit from Maurice.
Unfortunately you and many others who set your stall out previously, have now found yourself backed up against the wall and unable speak objectively about the true CURRENT situation.
We are on possibly the worst run in the clubs history, and how do we try and get out of it? We sign a series of rejects and has beens.
ITS A FUCKING SHAMBLES, AND THATS NOW DIRK, GOT IT.
Listen Thonker ive not been backed against any wall , from the moment we came into the championship ive called for the club to run within its means and bring through its own players as and when it could . People like you make me sick , you over look Dereks part in this mess and Irvine because it suits your agenda but they squanderd millions and in that time no youth players made the grade in 8 fucking years . Im not saying that THand ML arnt to blame but then so is the guys who squanderd so much and got us in this mess .
IT IS A FUCKING SHAMBLES AND WE ALL KNOW WHY , GOT IT
They have fucked the club up, and should fuck off.
I'm not going to say this wouldnt have happened under Derek, I'm going to say, this never happened under Derek.
Trust me, had he stayed it would have.

Dirk, WTF? We all know know Irvine, Shaw, Ferguson are all responsible but none of them are at the club any longer. Do you expect us to take this? To shrug our shoulders and go "God, Shaw signed off some big contracts". How long as Hemmings been in charge? What was his fucking plan in the first place? The longer this goes on the more it looks like asset stripping with his cunt mate Maurice was the only target.
I hated Shaw and he was crap but that doesn't mean Hemming's actions towards the club are right. They must have been pissing themselves when they released the "three year plan". What mugs we all were.
A PLAYER ffs mate Irvine signed a fucking string of them , even you yourself said Derek was at fault for letting TH invest how he did , we as fans wanted investment for years and when we got it it was fritterd away on journeyman and shirkers . This rot set in a while ago and i refuse to have the wool pulled over my eyes and jump on some deluded bandwagon that this is all THand ML fault , no fucking way .
I feel exactly the same way. The club was on its knees already. The sale of SSL, had it gone through, may have seen us ok for a little while, but what then? It would have been yet more borrowing.
Well ill just stick to the truth and you just stick to clearing Derek fucking Shaw of all blame because that seems more importent to you , this club is in a fucking mess but the real truth is shaw hemmings irvine ferguson simpson maurice , there all to blame and not just your blinkerd version of events .
Yep agree with that too Dirk.

Bayside, does the rent not cover the loan from the Bank to build the stand in the first place? Its not rent totally free of any incumbrance is it? If we borrowed £6m (for example) it would take the best part of 12 years for that to be repaid with our losses, if not more.

Im as pissed off as you mate and the decline of our club is heart breaking , but for thonker to say im backed against a wall when ive never ever called for spending what we dont have and suggesting all this mess is down to TH and ML is utter crap . I think if this was all down to TH getting money back then why didnt he make 3-4m in january when he had the chance ? i think hes letting us drop to get rid of debts and start again with a fresh slate , i dont know this for fact im just at that point were im hoping for the best of a very dark time in our recent history . Im not looking for a row with anyone but if were pointing fingers at who got us in this mess lets have it right at least .

Our current situation, financially, is from pissing money up the wall that technically we didnt have.
But, who is really to blame?
People blame Derek Shaw, accusing him of taking money out of the club. Accuse him of "backing the wrong horse", accuse him of picking the wrong managers, and been generally poor with PR outside of the club.
People blame Trevor Hemmings, accusing him of knowing what he was doing with his money but not facing the facts when he's realised he's pissed it up the wall. But without Mr Hemmings there would be no club? Catch 22.
People blame the managers, accusing them of buying players of mediocre or woeful ability on more than a good wedge. Simpson with his signings of Soley, Pergl and Ricketts to name but three and the sale of Alexander - but saying that he brought in St Ledger and Billy Jones. Irvine with his signings of Shumilofuckingkoski, Chaplow, Carter, Trotman, Collins, but he brought in no real re-saleable assets.
Ferguson really only signed Morgan of note, but was this because of the fact that he knew the inevitability of the future?
The reality is all of the above are to blame in some way shape or form to how we are now financially, and how we are facing relegation off the pitch. It may be that Derek was doing the best for the club, which I believe I really do. It may be that Mr Hemmings was pumping money into the club at the wrong times because he believed he was backing the right horse, which I feel is correct. It may be that all the managers we had did their best but weren't up to the job? That's probably a good conclusion too.
Joan as far as I'm aware there was various grants and downpayments that mean that the loan for the stand isn't actually 'massive'. The rent from the NHS for the next 13 years will see the majority of the loan covered after which it will become self-sufficent, or as the case will be, profit-making for Mr Hemmings who will have ownership of the stadium (or Mr Hemmings family, or whoever Hemmings' gives his assets to once he pops his clogs!)

Trevor Hemmings himself, personally, does not own the club...as I'm sure you know. It is wholly owned, is it not, by Deepdale PNE Holdings Ltd, of which Hemmings is a director? The company is a totally separate legal entity to TJH himself.

As at the 3 June 2010 the Group had total indebtedness of £29,660,000 comprising a bank overdraft of £5,225,000, an outstanding bank loan of £1,020,000, the funds from which were used for working capital purposes; a further outstanding bank loan of £8,280,000, which was utilised to construct the new Invincible Pavilion Stand and £15.135 million of other loans, which includes £13.33m loans from Guild and also a £1,119,000 loan provided by the Friends of Preston North End Limited ("FPNE"). The FPNE loan accrues interest at a rate of 3% over Bank of England LIBOR and is repayable on 31 January 2011 unless FPNE and PNE mutually agree an extension.

Yeah I understand this FM, but this is part of the problem also. Mr Hemmings practically owns this company (Lindsay talks about "the owner" not "owners"), but as its a seperate entity, if this company "went bust" it wouldn't directly affect the life of Mr Hemmings, it'd just affect the lives of every PNE fan going.
