There is alot of people....

There is alot of people....

Its is correct in this case as it's possessive.

My mistake then, I assumed you was correcting me, and bringing it to my attention because you quoted me, I got a little confused then lol. Anyway, I think Villager is going to be ill if we keep going off topic! lol Sorry about that but I just thought it needed to be said, discussed and move on.

I think there is nothing more to be said on this subject anyway but thank you to everyones contributions, I just hope that people will be a bit more thoughtful before insulting such people, I don't mind discussing, that is how we all learn, basically insults are for the playground surely, there are more constructive ways of putting a point across by putting foundation behind it. Leave the insults for the Lashers and the Dingles 😉

Did thee not get a legover last neet Shaky ,forgot the card ?😀

ha ha ha nah, he got the card, and the flowers, it was just that his wife's card had spelling mistakes and bad grammar! 😉 booooooom, i'm here all week!

I'm guessing he's still whinging! lol Deary me!

I'm sorry Staffordwhite and Shaky but I perfectly understood the guy. AmmarPNEFC, you could also put your point across a little better too, as between the 3 of you, there is no reason to be so damn right rude.

Also Staffordwhite...'its' is a word isn't it, as I have used above (Bold) ? Or have I got this wrong :-S Sorry to be condescending 😉

Here to help, Dave, here to help. 🙄

Looks like you've cracked 'its' and 'it's' though, so the day's not been totally wasted.

While you're on a roll, you might want to look up condescending. You could use this post as an example.

Anyhow, as the old gag goes, I used to be apathetic about the poor English on here, but now I just can't be bothered.

And as for being 'damn right rude' 🙄 I can be downright worse - ask Chris Sedgwick. 😉

My personal favourite. 🙁

'It's' only EVER means 'it is'.

I learned that when I was five years old. Not difficult . . . is it? 🙄

nah, always understood it but I think I read your post wrong pal initially, I took your above post as ‘Its’ with or without an apostrophe, meaning as one word rather than 2 alternatives. But I’m guessing you meant only when you use the apostrophe, it is always 'it is'.

Anyhow, it's getting boring now. As for condescending…….I only meant it as a joke, sorry if you took it the wrong way. Basically the play on a situation was that I thought you and Shaky were being condescending picking up on the posters lack of grammar, so I thought I’d pull something out for you hence quoting the 'wink'. But as I said initially on this post, I mis-read your post, I thought you were saying ‘there’s only one way to write ‘It's’ and that's with an apostrophe when actually you can write 'Its'.

Can we not just be nice to each other? Forget it, really doesn't matter all this? If you want to run around correcting posts then so be it, but I was only trying to be a peace maker, but maybe you like the attention? Because I can’t see what else your getting out of all this? If you want to talk football, fair enough but I think I’ll put this subject to bed now, you know my feelings, I know yours and we know how the other 2 feel. I’d rather be nice to my fellow fans then winding them up, you like to wind them up. End of really?

Round my way theres a few old railway tracks used as footpath/cycle track known as "The Lines". Theres a sign and everything.

Someone has opened a beautician or hairdresser or something within full view of one of these signs with "The Line's" written on the shope front. I despair every time I pass.

No worries, Dave. Nothing personal. 😉

Ahh, the lines. Grimsargh? Makes me feel old as I can remember when they still had the sleepers there. Came off my bike and ended up picking cinders out of my knee for weeks. Come to think of it, I think there's still some in there...🙄
