4-4 f*cking 2
Wouldnt that be 4 - 4 - 1 - 1
Well yeh, You catch my drift though
Bang on with the team as far as I'm concerned.
Formation wise 4-2-3-1 would be better.
It's the modern day 4-4-2.

I believe if we are to get anything from the game tonight we have to scrap the current formation as it is not working.

I like the look of that team Bolton. Good shout.
We need to play 442, but I wouldn't have Johnson in it, the guy is shite. If you having Johnson up front more or less on his own, the only people that will need to worry tonight is the Crowd and the Corner flag.

Agreed I'm not his biggest fan either but with Ellington and Hume not playing Who else would you have we have no other strikers and do not say clarke please!

Who is this by the way

My Only changes would be to add clarke in behind johnson to be the target man and to have Ashbee replaced by Russell who against Bristol till taken off showed ashbee up.
Did Ashbee improve against Hull?

Carter in a relegation battle?
We might as well just build a snow man in the centre circle.
Agree with the 4-4-2 though but i'd have Hayes ahead of either of the clowns we have on loan.
Might show our players how to remain cool under pressure.

Shaky is going to get bad ass on your grammar (or lack of), flower... 🙂
The team formation is yet another smokescreen. We have a lack lustre team incapable of beating any other team in the division - whatever tactics/formation we use.
The players are riddled with low confidence and it shows in our pitiful attempts on goal recently - summed up by Paul Hayes' overhead 'punt' at the weekend against Hull. I had my head in my hands when I watched that back on WW. To see that counted as a shot on goal is truly shocking...
Fact is, Brown and Horton haven't been able to turn the mentality round at the club. Not his fault mind. He inherited a club in disarray when he arrived...bit like when Simpson arrived, when Irvine arrived and when Ferguson arrived. A pattern emerging?
The club has been chronically mismanaged for years and I'm afraid it's about to reap what it sowed.

Scored a crucial one V.Leicester in Irvines team - was it 3 seasons ago ?
TBF to the lad he has bucked-up since coming back from Millwall

I wasn't having a pop at any of you. Like your pic by the way...
There was a time when I would have openly scoffed at the team I'm about to suggest but I think it's the best we could do tonight, given injuries. It looks very much like a League 1 team though!

I think Carter deserves an opportunity (proof enough of our demise) and so I'd play him 'tucked-in' on the left. Ashbee should hold midfield and Russell can play a more traditional central midfield role. Treacy can offer some creativity and width on the right-hand side, though I'd have no real objection to Mayor playing there instead.
Up front, Hayes had an excellent partnership with the pacy Gary Hooper whilst they were at Scunthorpe together (it was only a year ago!) and he surely can't have lost his touch completely. Johnson's pace might just work alongside him. And let's face it, the other options (Leon Clarke) are truly horrific.

I doubt Treacy will play unless our manager has decided it's okay for players to completely ignore the club's rules. It's a decision I back him on.
As for the team, I would prefer
Turner
Gray SSL Cort Jones
Mayor Russell Ashbee Carter
Hayes Johnson
That's the worst PNE team there has been in well over 10 years. Seriously.

It would be offside every time we attack.
