I haven't been going to games lately and tonight was the first time I'd seen Turner (apart from highlights on the tele). I was expecting to see a good keeper from what I've heard but wasn't impressed at all. He was indecisive and never looked in control of the box, I'd rather see Lonners in the starting line up against Cardiff on tonights evidence.

Really great to judge him off one match. Brilliant.
 
I'd like to see him cutting out the kicks straight into touch but he didn't have a bad game at all.

Some excellent positioning at his near post kept us in it early on.

A) What does that matter?
B) Because Turner isn't content on being a number 2 or 3 at Everton. Which Lonergan would be at best.
C) Did either of them sign him? He wouldn't get into West Broms team, and how much did Cardiff bid for him? Being such a low amount shows they didn't want him that much.

I can feel a storm in the LA 12 area brewing, probably hit here about 0630am!
 
We have a serious weakness in defending set pieces. There is a lack of organisation and I've noted a few times this season that when we defend set pieces there is generally one opposition player who is totally unmarked before the corner is taken. Millwall had a few free headers from corners and it was interesting to note that in the 2nd half Chris Brown was tighter to Ward and got between Turner and Ward to give the keeper some protection – why wasn't this addressed prior to the match?

Turner was clearly impeded (although I still feel he should have stood upto that), although why didn't he drop to the floor, like the defender would have done if Turner had pulled Ward's shirt? That would have highlighted the gamesmanship that Millwall were deploying and the referee would have been more aware – yet he just backed off and weakly let the ball sale over his head.

I rate Turner and he's done a good job for us, yet that incident, at the time that a young defender had just joined the game typified the weakness in everything that was shown from the start to the finish

A true Shakyesque comment! Stupidity itself!

Forget the amount. Why did Cardiff want him? Forget money. Why did a club with Premiership ambitions want Lonergan? Why did WB offer £1.5m? Why has Lonergan not played one reserve game since Turner came? Why did PB say AL was 'known in the game as a Premiership goalkeeper"? He could have said "I rate him", "He's a good goalkeeper" but he didn't.

When the Compulsive Liar appears, as he surely will as JD says, about 6.30 am he will again accuse me of making claims about AL that I have never made, but he will, as sure as egg are eggs (note the Easter connection - good that isn't it?) use every word in the Dictionary of Foul Language to vainly try to discredit me but will not come up with one reasoned argument to support his views. Why? He can't! He hasn't the ability. He is no challenge whatsoever. He offers so little that I only need to average one post per day to keep him in his place.

Shaky still insits that Lonners is the worst keeper in professional football. He's been given the chance to back track several times, but still insists he is right, which to be honest just makes him look embarrasingly stupid.

No doubt he'll call me some abusive name or accuse me of being a Lonners Worshipper, neither of which he can prove, but then again what would you expect.
