I don't care what anyone says and I usually have a balanced view but my heart sank when I read this. At this moment in time with the club sinking, in need of a lift and some good PR the decision to appoint Risdale is just rank bad management.

How do you know?

My initial view was OMG - but after a few moment's reflection there is no point in approaching this in any other way than with cautious optimism and just hope that it turns out to be an inspired decision from TH. No point in being negative as it can't achieve anything - a bit of postive thinking might just be rewarded?!

Amazed at how many fans are aready shooting Peter Ridsdale down, come on guys give him a chance. Peter doesnt have a bad track record things at Leeds didnt go to plan he took a chance which backfired big time!!! But he did what we were telling Shaw too do for a long while and spend money we didnt have and thats a big part why we are in the trouble we are in now!. Peter Ridsdale has vast experiance of running football clubs he will have some superb contacts in football which can only help. We know the club has to cut costs and he will have to make some tough decisions which we wont like but guys this club is in a bad state financially and we have to sort ourselves out and I believe we have got the right man in for the job at least give him a chance.

Exactly our fans really piss me off sometimes!! I wish people would read up on the Plymouth and Cardiff stories as they will see Ridsdale actually saved both clubs even after something beyond his control at Cardiff when stadium builders tried too sue the club!!

My initial reaction to this news was WTF? How can this man be allowed near a football club, let alone ours? On reflaection it is certainly an interesting appointment. We could have gone for the safe option & appointed a virtual unknown in house. But we havent. We have appointed a high profile, albeit contriversial, figure head. Surely Trev wont allow him to make his previous mistakes at Leeds. He is a football man with good contacts & a good track record at attracting foreign investment. I really do feel that this will be his brief & that Trevor wants out. Interesting times ahead folks... Buckle up!
