If Billy Davies is remotely interested in this awful, awful job...

If Billy Davies is remotely interested in this awful, awful job...

Barcelona play a high tempo pressing hounding game and it's deemed pretty because of fancy footwork.

Billy Davies employed the same high tempo pressing hounding tactics minus the fancy footwork given our then level and some call it dour? Have a word with yourselves.

Billy lost just 21 out of 101 games at PNE, in other words, he was undefeated in 80 out of 101 games.

Anyone who wouldn't take that right now is quite frankly a moron.

KBD is THE one and only stand out candidate.

Mess up on this chance and we might as well pack up.

but pete sanderson said he doesnt want the job

I agree with what you are saying but will you stop refering to him as KBD, you big arse licker. He's a good manager but theres no need to liken him to royalty.

Yes some of BD's games were dour (and boring) - you must have slept through them if you can't remember. However, like I said earlier he knows how to organised and galvanise players and I would welcome the little shit back with open arms.

Yet on your Twitter you have wrote to Peter Sanderson and I quote 'thats funny. my mate that works at pne says that billy is definetely coming'. Unless there is another Matthew Simpson who also uses the username 05simpsonm? But on another thread you have said that you have a mate who works at PNE and Billy Davies isn't coming as he's not even applied. Make your mind up!!!!!

Norky, don't bother. He's a fucking bellend. He's posted numerous threads this year that Koumantarakis was signing. Mods have deleted more of his threads than preach and yoga combined. He's a special case.

I think they called it, caught out!! Haha

I cannot believe Hemmings would want to stump up for Davies and his buddies when he is trying to cut costs. He would want Kelly, Darby, Williams, the physio etc. with him and what would he do to the youth set up?

I cannot see either club or Davies being interested in this move. He is probably waiting for Paul Jewell to go and will take over down there with plenty of cash to spend.

At last,some sense!

Billy isn't coming back, get over it.

How many did he win?

I remember good late runs into the play-offs, but long periods of dour, defensive football, Danny Dichio up front and not scoring for 41 games, loads of draws - it was a breath of fresh air when Simpson came in and we started playing with flair, 4-1 vs Leeds, Sunderland etc, and raced to the top of the league.

Plus he had no long term vision, ditching the reserves and therefore effectively the youth system, leaving us with a club in disarray with a huge squad of journeyman players on very long contracts, and the sabotaging of the entire backroom setup.

Add to that he has left every club he has managed on bad terms, and has frequently failed at the final hurdle, even with huge clubs and huge budgets, and it doesn't look like the right option to me.

you forget games such as Norwich and Ipswich away where we completely thrashed the opposition. massive derby wins v the dingles.......... name me a better option donkeykong?

Davies isn't a failure- look at preston, forest and derby post Davies?

he has 5 play-off campaigns in the championship to his name and one promotion from them.

most teams would take top 6 year on year. I know Preston, Derby and Forest fans would.

you forgot he's a massive cunt as well.

note:I'd still take him. only because we aren't going to get anyone with an ounce of his management skills.

45 wins out of 101 games. Alan Irvine had 45 wins in 111 games. Only David Moyes has a better win percentage since 1955. Unless you include O Hanlons brief spell in charge.

Where did we finish under Simpson's breath of fresh air? He was a disaster.

Have you not confused him with Alan Irvine?
