Brown: did he really deserve to be sacked?

Brown: did he really deserve to be sacked?

I have been very dissapointed with Mr Brown. As Mind Games says, no organisation. And with a big squad, littered with ex Premiership and Championship players, we should at least be able to compete at this level.

I think that the amount of support for Billy Davies to return is a backlash to the last two managers inability to set up a team that knows what is expected of them.
Billy, like David Moyse, organizes from the back. With a clear holding position in the centre of midfield. They both tend to use one out and out winger at a time, and expect good cover on either flank for their fullbacks.

Insightful observation, reaperman.

Apparently, the average time of tenure for a Football League manager, has been dropping proportionally over the past few seasons. It is now 11 months; Brown was here for 11 months; so he was average........decidedly so.

What I saw tonight was a team that was putting bodies on the line and fighting to keep hold of the lead.
Against Southend after the FA cup replay, Phil Brown stated on the radio that the reason we lost was because players were not putting their bodies on the line or fighting for the ball.
When a manager comes out with a statement like this, his time is usually up as he is blaming everybody else and it appears to the outsider he has lost the players.

Brown: did he really deserve to be sacked?

Think your questions been answered unequivocally. Shame it didn't happen 6 weeks ago we might have still been in with a chance of automatic promotion.

today says YES he did , no doubt in my mind now, players played in there correct positions and bingo!!
Its not rocket science, is it? I started a thread earlier in the season saying "learn or f+++ off." At one time I really thought he had. Yes it was time to go.

Totally agree, can't believe I've heard so many interviewed since Wednesday that don't think he should have been sacked. Think one of the problems with Preston these days is that we have too many so called supporters, who don't watch the games. Browns rein has been worst than Fergies (Fact). Yes he should have been sacked.

Yes he probably should have been sacked but, statistically, Brown was more successful than Fergie jnr. Brown win % 29.4, Fergie 26.5......as you would say FACT. What is probably nearer the truth is that both of them were completely hopeless and more than deserved potting. Notwithstanding, I shall always loath Fergie jnr much more than Brown; at least Brown was personable whereas Fergie had all the personality of his father.........
