Ffs, we just beat one of the form teams in the division, a team unbeaten at home and on a good run. We made good chances and reduced dons to half chances and set pieces courtesy of a blinkered lying bastard of a ref, and you're not happy? Why fucking bother.

If you were a neutral you'd have said MK Dons deserved a point today.

Why? Because they dominated posession? So what, they did nothing with it at all. No clear cut chances. We scored, hit the post twice and missed a one on one. We also lost our main goal threat after half an hour. I have no idea why you think they deserved anything. Even their manager agrees that we wanted it more.

Football matches can swing wildy on a single incident. If they had equalised with anything more than five minutes left we would very likely have lost. If Coutts had scored and Mellor stayed on we might have had at least one more in the first half and might have won 4-0. As it was we put in a superb defensive shift and held onto the lead. For heaven's sake with Tsoumou upfront we were never going to be camped in their half and the only way we were going to score again was through a breakaway which we nearly did twice.

I hope Unsworth and Alexander get the job, they are already a part of the fabric of our club, they genuinely care about our long term success and they will do whatever they can to make us successful. They will have no hidden agenda, and as we saw tonight they can unite all the players and get them playing. Making Coutts captain was a masterstroke - he was fantastic and lead by example.

Even if Unsworth and Alexander are not appointed, I think we are lucky to have them at our club. They conducted themselves tonight with dignity and humility throughout, their enthusiasm is infectious and they put some pride back into a jaded Preston North End team. They need to be a part of any future plans, but I do believe they deserve a chance to make the job their own.

If thats what I have got to look forward to every week I'd rather them not get the job.

You Sir, are a fucking idiot. Infact I haven't seen you happy on this message board in a long time. We dominated for the first half hour, then Mellor got injured and we brought Barton on. We defended brilliantly for the first time in a long time.

You're also forgetting the fact we should have had a penalty...

This is the game I saw too. I am not sure why someone is calling the ref a lying cheating (or something along those lines) to be fair, I though he did ok, I most certainly have seen a lot worse this season.

What I want to know is who has turned this team into one that can grind out a result like that in 3 days or so. It's nothing short of a miracle. I was expecting a 3 or 4 nil today. We won ugly. It's the sort of thing that many visiting teams do to us when we have all the possession, but cannot outscore our opponents. Credit due to Unsy and Grezza. Did we really look like conceding a goal tonight? Was most impressed with Stuckman. Everytime he made a parry, he made sure it was away from any of their forwards following up. If that was Turner we'd be saying good initial save, but unlucky!!!

It wasn't pretty, but it's a start. We seemed to have a collective desire to get something from the game tonight and scrap as we needed to.

Folk need to remember that these are a very good team on a good run.

Well done to all.

You did a great stifling job on them!!!

Shades of when Moyes and BD first took control of PNE here. A struggling team, a "no name manager(s)" already at the club taking over, and in the case of BD (not Moyes) an immediate impact as far as a result is concerned.

Hemmings would be foolish just at the moment to bring in another manager and to spend cash that could be otherwise utilised. The next four or five games should make the picture much more clear, but at the moment, A & U deserve to continue.

I called him a lying cheating etc because he was pathetically inconsistent. How quick was he to book coutts but then gave dons so many free kicks for falling over? The 'challenge' on stuckmann was also shocking, studs up and no chance of winning the ball, smith was booked for standing his ground whilst one of theirs gets away with kicking McCombe in the head. Ok maybe he could've sent McCombe off, but it would have been soft and definitely not balanced!

The TV pundits had the ref making the right decision re the Coutts card, personally I agree with you. The challenge on Stuckmann to be fair was more momentum than anything and, they should have had a free kick with the McCombe challenge and they got nothing. I thought he tried to be fair and, for the most part, imho he was.

I agree with this. The first job for the management is to make us very hard to beat, which they did do tonight. Then we can push on. We could do far worse than letting these two very experienced players, and highly qualified coaches remain in charge for the next 5 games or so to see how they do. If it is clearly not working, we can appoint someone else in the job.

Don't now think we will get relegated, but I did under Brown!!

We was doing ok till Mellor went off and they had to change to more a Phil Brown formation. Proves what the fans have been saying, the players we have are more suited to 4-4-2 football. Hopefully Mellor will be back for the Carlisle game. A bit of it was down to confidence as well. So every credit to the way the Team Started. Danny Mayors cross was inch perfect for Parry. Some good signs from today, lets get behind whoever gets it. This season can be saved and could turn out to be a great one, if we can get into the Playoffs.

We all saw thee on t'sky!

We stayed at the Hilton hotel last night Part of the grounds Main stand. Ridsdale wouldnt even acnowledge that we were from Preston CUNT.
When we tried to expl...............Security.Please....

What are you trying to say? Explain yourself more clearly.

a great victory, the team has demonstrated his ability to fight and suffer and played with great determination and great desire to win.
A good performance against a strong team that shows that we can still fight for the playoffs.
