Noone meantioned not on FLS or Sky we love mk dons Sports either that in mcombes first foul where he got the yellow it was clearly a dive by Mcdonald noone said anything after the replay is this because they just wanted a talking point? Mcombe was just running with his arms which shaved Mcdonald and he went flying down.
Also id like to say how bias sky were saying it would be a big scalp and every foul that we made was definatanly a foul but coutts pen wasnt was it? and there manager is just too much of a bad loser to describe. Anyway we won and go onwards and upwards and I cant see mk staying right up there much longer.

I think there was an element of bias in the TV coverage (towards the home side) - I think Sky had planned on a MK Dons goal fest as it was regularly mentioned how free scoring they had been in recent weeka. What a pity PNE spoiled the spectacle !

Re Mcombe, he should have been sent off, no question.

Agree with all. Sky love MK Dons, big scalp, don't think so.

First one was not a booking.

I thought we should have had a penalty, the lad stands on Coutts foot.
As McCombe had been booked deservedly or not, he should definitely have walked for the second yellow.
Sky kept telling me that MK Dons had all the chances, but then I seem to remember Coutts hitting the post, Conor hitting the post, Tsoumou being clean through and messing up. I think we played a classic away team performance. Soaking up pressure and trying to hit them on the break.
As for Karl Robinsons' interview at the end, I though he was quite eloquent and knew that all the Sky questions were loaded to get a reaction out of him. I didn't think he was a bad sport at all.

Fact is though, he was booked. The second foul was worse then the first, he should have been sent off. We would have been fuming if it happened against us.

I don't agree.

For the second foul, if he'd got a yellow for that, I'd have been a bit disappointed. It was a very minor foul, and the guy went down like a sack of spuds.

But - for most sensible people in football - it has to be really clear-cut to give a SECOND yellow. That was not, in my opinion worthy.

If he'd got the red... I couldn't bitterly complain.... but, nor can MK bitterly complain that he didn't go.

The 2nd challenge was worse then the 1st. If he got booked for the 1st, he should have got booked for the 2nd, it was more clear cut then the first. I didn't think the first deserved a yellow. Lady luck was one our side for a change, and long may it continue.

I watched the game and to be fair the ref didnt exactly have the best of views as I think maybe doyle (or someone else in a pne shirt) was blocking his view. And the liner didnt flag so he must not have seen a foul.

But that winger of theirs went down everytime someone breathed on him looking for free-kicks and ven when he flew 10 yards into the box looking for a pen I didn think it was a foul outside the box.

It shows why video evidence is such a bad idea... there are still a lot of disagreements ! I just don't agree with your viewpoint.

Do you have to get booked for every foul ? McCombe put an arm on him momentarily... and the guy went down.... either slipped or chucked himself to the floor. It was a slight foul... but if you got booked for every bit of contact, games would finish seven -a-side every week.

Linesman didn't even flag, and he's right next to it. I suspect he was trying to get McCombe sent off.

And I just reviewed it again on iPlayer before writing this.

No I don't think every foul is a booking. As stated, I didn't feel the first one was a booking. But the 2nd one was a stupid thing to do especially knowing he'd been booked. I felt that if the first incident was deemed a bookable offence, the second incident which I thought was a worse offence would also warrant another booking.

Isn't there a rule that if a team has three players sent off, the match is abandoned? I seem to remember Sheffield United trying to get a third player sent off a few years ago.
