I think he needs signing up asap. He's a gritty player, takes no prisoners and just wins everything in the midfield. I thought on Saturday he broke up the MK Dons play several times and took a lot of pressure off the defence. My advice would be to sell Russel and get this guy in there. He's younger, more passionate and a Hell of a lot better. Would be cracking business if we landed this guy and at the same time off-loaded a money grabber at the same time.

Russell would be top notch alongside Coutts but you feel that maybe his relationship with Brown will have soured his opinion of the club, and the confidence shown in him at Charlton will see him on his way. Doyle would be a very good replacement.

Quite liked the look of him on first viewing.

In saying that, the defence still had rather a lot to do (and did it well) and he looks about as likely to score as Andy Smith.

Doyle, Stuckmann and McCombe have obviously made a huge difference to the defensive side of things and it's McCombe whose influence seems to be going under the radar for whatever reason.

I like Darel Russell but if possible then offloading him to Charlton and bringing in Nathan Doyle would be a no brainer.

Doyle is a good player but unfortunately for us I think he;ll find himself back in the Barnsley team before the end of the season.

I have no problems with Russell. Doyle is OK. The only justification in buying him is if he's cheaper. I wouldn't end up out of pocket (e.g. if we had to pay part of Russell's wages as part of a Charlton deal)

Managers can experiment with all the exotic team formations they want. But, at this level, you'll always come back to 442 with a central midfield partnership of holding and attacking midfielders.

Doyle gives us balance. But Russell would have too if he'd have been picked.

McCombe should have been sent off and does look quite liable to being sent off at times because of his lack of pace, I think Morgan has helped him along quite a bit.

very impressed with morgan, think he has played very well alongside mccombe in the last few weeks,
Nathan Doyle would be a very good signing for me if we could get him in on a permanent or a loan until the end of the season,
But never had a problem with russell either and always thought he deserves a chance..

Doyle's done more for us than Russell did in two years.

If Charlton want Russell, get rid. We need to cut our squad.

Russell puts more effort in his twittering than on the pitch - criticising but not exactly doing sod all when his opportunity arose. Thought we had a quality signing when he arrived / what a let down,

Stuckmann is the one we def need to sign, just hope he ain't been too tempted by all the leeds hype.

Been very impressed with McCombe who has been strong composed and organised. Would like to see him signed on but can't see it happening.

Stuckmann and Doyle are the priorities - in that order. McCombe has proved a useful signing, but if McLean and Devine can be remotivated in the way the players who played on Saturday were then we might well be able to manage without him.

Stuckmann is twice the keeper Turner is, and Doyle better in the DM role than anyone on our books.

Both should be snapped up asap.
