Build it Billy and they will come!

A flashback from the night at Derby, thanks Billy:

If we get to the playoffs then I am tempted not to actually attend the games.

Reason being is that I watched the Derby and Brimingham games at home on the TV and we went through. I was at the Leeds game and we lost. Clutching at straws maybe but I am quite superstitious.

Think about it Mr Risdale, tens of thousands of North Enders travelling hundreds of miles having bought PNE merchandise, you know its right, the futures white, Billy Davies is your man.

He was backed, but like at every club he has been at he wanted more!

I will qualify, backed him to secure promotion, what would have been the return compared to some of the subsequent inept signing since and the money they have cost the club including the likes of the Macedonian Gerrard, Neil Collins, Mellor etc.

The high points of Billy Davies' first season in charge - a 0-0 draw and 0-1 defeat.

The climax of his second and final season in charge - a 0-2 defeat at home.

Thanks for nothing Billy. The most boring football I've ever seen at Deepdale. Defensive. Negative. Inherited a good side.

After the Play Off Final we sold our top goalscorer and wouldn't pay Eddie Lewis the extra 1k a week he wanted, so he went to Leeds on a free. How about the following season when Nugent got injured? The best our board could do was bring in Marcus Stewart who couldn't get into a League 1 side. Great backing! How much did Davies spend altogether? Not a lot.

Lets play the exciting losing football, thanks Darren for undoing all the good work from the previous decade, Leeds Utd 4 PNE 6 and relegation for PNE fantastic..

Let's just hope he sorts his tactics out in the final.

Tactically wasn't the problem. Our players just didn't turn up. They weren't helped by O'Neil I think it was being in hospital all night before with his ill child. We were also unlucky that two players slipped for their goal. Both teams didn't turn up, and should have gone to penalties as a dull 0-0 draw.

Fair point. We had beat them twice that season which was gutting.
