Adam Barton should choose a new career!

We all know that he has the ability if we are honest with ourselves.

It just seems to be his style to stroll about looking disinterested...

I still predict that one day, in the not too distant future, he will play in the premier league.

None of the recent crop of youngsters coming through the ranks are anywhere near good enough and haven't been for some considerable time; to say otherwise is just wishful thinking.

Peopple are saying that they don't want BD to come back as it would mean the end of our great youth set-up, it's a joke!

I have a good friend who runs a very successful local kids team. He says the scouting set up for finding young talent at Preston is piss poor. I've also been told the same from a few mates who's kids are currently playing.
You'd think we had shit hot players coming through the ranks the way some rave about them on here. They're just not good enough yet and most probably will never be.

If BD did come back it wouldnt affect the youth set up in anyway and your supposed good friend needs to get his facts right before he starts spouting shit about the youth dept as he obviously knows fuck all about how pne source then recruit young players into there school of excellence!!

He's been involved in kids football for the last 11 years and he's got no reason to lie about things.

Our joke youth set up(your words not mine)job is to produce home grown players to play in our 1st team who are currently in league 1 and in my humble opinion mclaughlin,mayor and proctor have proved that they can compete and play regularly at this level others inc clark,devine and middleton have shown glimpses of maybe in the future being able to produce at league 1 level therefore i would say our yth dept is very successful and not a joke!! ps as for your jnr football friend,ive never said he was lying,only said he needs to get the facts right before calling something he obviously knows fuck all about!!

Good to see you're so passionate about our set-up though. Judging by your reaction to my comments I take it you're involved in the youth system in some capacity?

He did have a really good game away at Burnley on TV, and it wasn't just the goal he scored.
We were robbed by the the ref, and our own stupidity for not shutting down in the last 5 mins. In fact, if we hadn't conceded 3 goals in the last 5 mins, DF may have been able to keep that team together. On the down side, DF might still be our manager.

Not directly involved no, but i am aware of what goes on and believe me when i say them lads work miracles on the budget they are given!! and regards adam barton which is what this thread is originally about,ive watched him on a regular basis for over 5yrs now and my opinion now hasnt changed from when i saw him originally and that is he has the heart the size of a pea,has no desire or work ethic about him,basicaly hes stealing a living everytime he puts that pne shirt on!!

It was certainly a turning point, and Barton did very well that evening with some crisp passing and intelligent runs.

I don't think we were robbed by the ref, and might be one of the few PNE fans who thought the sending-off was justified. 30 seconds earlier, he'd warned Callum about time-wasting, then Jones (on a yellow) takes the piss to an even greater extent.

Probably the best we ever played under DF, and we still found a way to lose!! That says a helluva lot...

You have way to much time for 1) bringing up these posts from months ago, and 2) presumably you went through all this trouble just to slag one of our young players off cause he's hit a bit of bad form.
