With Rochdale having today reiterated that our first game of 2012 is all-ticket with no sales on the day to any fans (home or away), here's a quick update on the ticketing arrangements...

Preston North End travel to Rochdale for their first game of 2012 on Monday 2nd January, with kick-off for the all-ticket fixture scheduled for 1pm at Spotland.

At the start of the football season, the BBC's 'Cost of Football' survey showed that both Preston North End and Rochdale were two of the cheapest teams to watch in the Football League.

This will again be the case, as Rochdale have a fabulous family ticket available for supporters for the small price of £25

The family ticket includes one adult and junior ticket, with up to one additional adult ticket available for £18.

If you wish to pick up an extra junior ticket (maximum two extra junior tickets via this offer), then the ticket will be priced at just £7.

So why not start 2012 off in superb style and make the short journey to Rochdale to cheer the Lilywhites on as they aim to win their third straight league game on the road?

North End fans have happy memories of playing at Spotland this season after triumphing 4-2 on penalties against Rochdale in the JPT regional quarter finals last month.

Goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann was the hero that night, saving two penalties in the shoot-out on his competitive Lilywhites debut.

North End have been allocated up to 3,472 seats plus spaces for wheelchair users in the Willbutts Lane Stand, as they bid to start 2012 with a bang.

Supporters are reminded it is an all-ticket match and you need to buy your ticket before the day of the game as there will not be any sales on the day of the game and no cash turnstiles available.

Ticket details for the game have been confirmed and are as follows:

Family Tickets
One adult and one junior (U16) £25
One adult and two juniors (U16) £32
Two adults and one junior (U16) £43
Two adults and two juniors (U16) £50
Two adults and three juniors (U16) £57

*It is a maximum of two adults and three juniors for the family ticket.

Normal Prices
Adults £20
Seniors (Over 65) £14
Young Adults (Aged 16-19) £14
Juniors U16 £14
U7s free

Wheelchair disabled fans can get a ticket for the game for £14 with helpers free. Ambulant disabled fans pay the relevant price band for their age, with any required helpers (ID needed) admitted free.

Coach travel is also available, with coaches leaving both Deepdale and Leyland at 10.45am

The coach will cost £13 for adults and £11 for concessions.

Tickets and coach travel are available by calling 0844 856 1966 or visiting the ticket office in person.

Got mine yesterday, ticket office said we had shifted about 600

Quite disappointing really

A lot of fans will quite reasonably expect that this sort of fixture - with such a large allocation - is the sort of game that they can easily turn up and pay on the day for, but Rochdale have been forced into making it all-ticket and that's the point we're trying to get across.

We'd expect sales to be pretty brisk in the next few days as word spreads. They'll be on sale from the Sir Tom Finney Stand ticket office prior to Saturday's game, but please note that they'll go off sale at midday to help cater for the matchday queues. The ticket office will then re-open after the game, selling Rochdale tickets until around 4pm.

Carlisle was pay on the day so things will change when we sell less than 1000.
There's no way Rochdale will turn away £20.

Was rather hoping this one was going to be postponed as I am in London until the 11th Jan from the 31st. However, as the weather has been rather clement for this time of year that won't be the case.

getting mine tomorrow dont understand why their not selling on day surely they would make more money that way!
