Blackburn Rovers have signed Chelsea under-21 captain Todd Kane on a one-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old defender made five appearances while on loan to Preston North End earlier this season and is Rovers' second signing of the transfer window after Josh King made his loan spell from Manchester United permanent.

i prefer our king from non-league to theirs from united! just shows what a master (westley) can find... 😉

i do agree but they are young, and will only get better with age. you dont end up at united and chelsea for no reason. shame we can never seem to keep hold of players for long enough before they mould into solid players.

you cant expect kids to walk into a team and dominate a game in a league they arent familiar with

Josh King was absolute pap. He was quick but that was it. Face like a smacked arse when things didn't go his way and an example of the 'can't be arsed' generation of PNE players. Say what you will about the current crop but at least they try their best.

Kane I have no opinion on as I only saw him once.
 
Maybe they promised to play him at right back?

To be honest he has not impressed me that much and if we were not so short in that department, I doubt anybody would be too bothered.
 
King had one decent game away at stockport in the cup, other than that he brought nothing to the team just another waste of space who had a hissy fit when things didn't go his way.
 
Does anybody really give a shit ? ffs its a loan player there 10 a penny and it doesn't always happen for them at every club they play for temp , cant believe some take it so personal .

Let's face it, Rovers glory hunters "Arsenal aren't coming to town any time soon, so why bother?"

Was he? Reminded me of David Gray defensively and had zero end product when played on the wing.

He might be good one day but we need players who can straight into the team and do a job at present.

Funny that as I thought he was outstanding initially, then went off boil. Was he not man of the match by a mile on his first home game here.

I remember him running Portsmouth ragged at home (probably his home debut) when it was him and Hayes up front. Did everything but score. After coming back from injury he just looked like he couldn't be arsed.
