Former North End players you have...

I suppose you were only 8, so I'll not blame you for being unaware... but was that perhaps the serious neck injury that brought an end to one of my favourite player's career ? !!

I met Julian Darby in a pub in Corfu. Had a really good chat about billy Davies and the whole laptop saga. It was just around when Trevor took us over and I was wildly optimistic.
Oh and I pissed him off by getting the owner to go and ask him if he really was the ball boy that day when worthington scored his famous burnden park goal!

When I was a young reporter in the mid 80s I had a weekly meet up with the then manager of Longridge Sports Centre . . . Sir Alex Bruce. Highlight of every week and a Top man. 🙂 ps. His deputy was . . . the Deepdale Duck - true 😉

Been chatting with Glen Johnstone this very night. Nice bloke. His eldest lad is 3rd choice keeper at Man U.
Lee ashcroft was our post man lol. Paul gallagher lived on next street to us , good mates with my bro. Met mark bosnich when I was tiling his house . Came to have a look round with his model girlfriend . Fixed a broken tile in Andy lonergans house , tiled loads of footballers houses in my time . From paddy agyemangs in Lytham , to teddy sheringhams apartment in bowden. Also tiled Louis sahas house which was on footballer cribs on mtv. Which showed the bathroom I did . My claim to fame lol

Was working as an IT Consultant to a firm in Sale when I was introduced to the new Operations Directors who turned out to be Adrian Hughes.
Worked with him for a couple of years and became good mates with him. He was invited to be one of the "legends" that came on at half time during the Millwall match when we got the Div 2 title in 2000 and he invited me along. Was in the boardroom before the match and got my paws on the trophy before it was presented.
Some of the stories he used to tell me about Big Sam...;-)

Remembered another Simon Farnworth in a bar in Manc. I was actually talking to his wife (not like that!) and she asked where I was from, said Preston and she said "oh my hubby used to play for them, Simon Farnworth."
So then of course I said "ah, no gloves on I see." You could tell he heard that probably 400 times a day. Nice bloke though, think he's physio somewhere now (Morecambe?).

I wonder if any of our female forum members have ever...... You know ;-)...... With any of our players!
You are one weird bloke...for someone who purports to be a lawyer. One thing's for sure, your case load must be pretty light.
