I know there a Transfer thread already but, I just wanted to say that hopefully GW PR & TH will all wise up & see that after last performance especially & listen to us Fans in what we have been saying for a long time now & that's the squad is not good enough at the moment & needs strengthening urgently but I doubt they would though, I know we've got a budget to go by & GW has said that he would like to do some transfer dealings if possible but surly everyone at the top at PNE can see how weak our squad is. So as GW isn't going to be sacked even though he has brought some awful players to the club along with some good players we need to act now to save our season, unless TH doesn't trust him to bring any good players into the club which would be for another debate.

It sounds as if we may have to be bringing in a keeper on loan too judging by GW's comments that Simonsen could be out "for weeks or months" with the injury he suffered last night.

Sure he'll still play Byrom, still can't get over his 1st half
The first time I heard his name mentioned was when he gave the free kick away for their goal, was that 40 mins. in?

You've said it yourself Keith. We cant strengthen as we dont have the budget (if we are to believe the manager)
I think the squad has some deficiencies but these could be addressed by a competent manager. We could also get more out of what we have with consistent team selection, players in their best positions, a more positive attacking mentality and the best players selected for the task rather than certain names seeming to be first on the teamsheet irrespective of their performance. The ability to react effectively during matches would also be useful. The squad is far from great but is the manager getting the best out of it at present? I would be amazed if anyone could provide a rational and coherent argument that this is indeed the case.
We desperately need a good right back. Jack King does quite well there, but as the game goes on he tends to lose concentration, and he would be better employed in midfield.
We are crying out for some creativity. We have the players to win the ball, and win the second ball, but desperately lack in creating things going forward. Beavon is a workhorse and deserves better support and better supply. It was Garner's debut last night, and whilst I'm not going to criticise the lad, he did disappoint me a tad, but needs time to settle into his new environment.
I thought Byrom was poor and gave away an unecessary free kick which led to Coventry's first goal.
I don't know what Westley has done to Monakana but he doesn't appear to be half the player he was imo.
We have some decent defenders but the Manager is constantly changing them and thus losing all continuity.

Why get rid of Robertson?
I can help your indecision about Trundle (or WHO? as he would be better named) We are in the middle of january and he hasn't kicked a meaningful bloody ball! I dread to think how much his lack of involvement has cost. It's like a geriatric version of the Neil Mellor arrival

i will get slated fo this but Robertson seriously isn't comfy on the ball and we need that steady/cool/calm head at the back like Mawene was and for me Robertson has to be the one to go
