Unfortunately it's not possible to change the song now, as people are stuck in their ways. I think it's a shame really because it has a great feel as a song but due to the lyrics people are put off singing it (myself included.) You can clearly hear people yell out the first Oh Joey Garner but you can hear the crowd start to get quieter as it gets to the ridiculous line.

I know it's just a football song, there are many awful ones out there but it would be nice if there was a song for everyone to sing to show Joe our support.

I'm not too bothered on nationality, just not French or French-Canadian.
 
I'm not seeing how a vaguely disguised reference to a violent weapon attack is any better than jokily suggesting you'd let someone sleep with the woman you love.
