I never knew Mark Robins was their manager.

You learn something new every day.

Managed a fair few clubs recently, Coventry, Barnsley and Huddersfield in the last couple of seasons. Done a good job at Scunny though, they won't be pushovers that's for certain. Roll on the game though, I'm looking forward to it.

I expect the thread will be tidied up.

Before that happens....just want to say how refreshing it has been to see mods getting on with modding. The simple things didn`t get done last term.

Probably credit due álso to Jake, JK etc for training up the new team!

Interesting. So still 2-5-2 but no KD.

With Garner, Gallagher and Robinson all starting we have plenty of mobility upfront. How they will be configured is a poser - I would guess in a line so that we play a sort of 3.4.3 though maybe Garner and Robinson will form a strike partnership with Gallagher in a roaming role - I would prefer the latter. Laird now seems to be more of an attacking threat in that wing-back role than he has been and Johnson has obviously been brought in to bring some forward momentum to the central midfield. Humphrey will doubtless track back well but our attacking theat on that flank is likely to come from either Gallagher or Robinson moving out wide.

I think they will let us start with 11 men ! So 3-5-2 for the outfield formation methinks !!

I put Robinson in the midfield category so 3-6-1. (btw 2-5-2 is nine; you can't count either 😉 - that's three of us).

Clearly you two haven't been to football university. 2-5-2 is an up and coming formation, and I think we'll soon be seeing the likes of Guardiola using it.

We certainly have pace now going forward. Please play to strengths today SG. No big target man, should mean we play quickly and down the channels. Laird should be buzzing, same too Robinson. But this is a tough game against an upbeat opposition. Could be a very good game today. 3 points please guys!

Fred Guardiola, manager of Realale Madrid? At least I tried to start the game with 12 to give us a bit of an advantage 🙂.
