Actually want Pearson to leave, deserves a shot at playing at top level
Why not? Neil brought him on the pitchDon’t blame Alex Neil for that one. Nothing to do with him.

The whole set up at PNE is ridiculous, one man rules the roost. The minute Nugent was signed was the death nell, his footballing life had already finished and most of you on here were wetting your pants, just what the financiers wanted, Uncle Trev loved it. We will not begin to get better whilst this system is in operation. So many poor players who have no real spirit in the club. Bringing back old lads was never going to fire us anywhere. Whoever suggested Nugent to come back should own up to it and walk away. We're just a small club who will never see the premiership under this system.
Nugent and Sinclair are on the PNE gravy train. Dreadful signings.

You’ll be watching or listening, as will I.Well that will do. I can find more enjoyable things to do than this. Won't be watching any more.
No matter what this team does to piss us off, we cant stay away.
While there’s hope I’ll continue to watch.

Very frustrating - we lost energy and momentum in midfield when Browne was switched to right-back. If Fisher needs to be replaced then Storey might be a better stopgap replacement - we absolutely have to have Browne driving forward in midfield. It was Browne doing that that led to our goal. Maguire showed that in short bursts he can be effective. We actually had two very good chances to draw level a second time so the performance was not abject - far from it - but we were dreadfully flat-footed for their second and third goals. The play-off chance has not gone but we absolutely need to win on Wednesday.
Browne had a shite game in midfield.
Well that was shit. Can see a struggle ahead next season.
Very poor. As others have said, we set up to frustrate Cardiff, not to take the game to them. And failed miserably on both counts.
The only players who impressed were Pearson and Barkhuisen whose speedy runs on the right showed promise. But he got taken off too soon and the rest were anonymous.
Think that’s the worst I’ve seen of Davies. He struggled against Cardiff’s big forwards but then gave the ball away so often. Endless optimistic punts which invariably came straight back. Stockley won nothing in the air and looked knackered in the second half. Browne was abysmal in the middle, constantly giving the ball away. When we were losing and he switched to right back he showed more aggression. Was that the best demonstration of the starting XI being instructed to frustrate rather than create? After his reasonable penalty shout, Sinclair disappeared. Not sure what he offers this team, certainly when they’re playing these negative tactics.
Nugent missed a sitter, as did Harrop, but by then the deficit, like the rain, was overwhelming.
So that, I think, is that for the season. Time for a serious clear out, probably including the manager.

So why bring him back to the club ?I could understand signing Nugent as an off-the-bench squad player, albeit an expensive one by our standards.
Failing to add a striker mobile enough to play alone up top in consecutive transfer windows is a killer, meaning we’ve had to utilise Nuge far too often, in a role he hasn’t been able to play effectively in years.

None of that was down to our goalkeeper. There were 9 players from our starting 11 you could criticise but why choose 1of the 2 who did little wrong? None of the goals were his fault and his distribution was reasonable. Presumably courting controversy because you cannot legitimately signal Rudd out.

Also got to look at how other teams are currently doing after the season has restarted - Luton beat top six chancing Swansea away today
- Cardiff beat automatic promotion chasing Leeds 2-0 last week.
With no fans allowed in the grounds I don’t think home games are much of an advantage, IMHO it is those with the best squads who will end in the top 6 and we on paper are not one of them.
I just hope that the players will give their best and not just sit back and be on the beach for these last 7 games remaining

Defend him all you want. I think they need to replace him.

He was absolutely terrible in there today, I can’t believe he stayed on

Don't expect more than 5 million for Davies Trev, Brownie similar. Maybe see if you can offload Nugent.
Quite easy actually, tune in now for an earlier kick off.🤭You’ll be watching or listening, as will I.

Pacify the fans. To some extent for a few it worked for a very short timeSo why bring him back to the club ?
But sadly no matter what you do in football the same real concept in winning remains You have to score and more than them

Ernest, can you honestly say we took the game to Cardiff? We didn't do anywhere near enough at any time in the whole game. We had defended well up until the deadlock was broken. Apart from that, the same slow ineffective build up play far too often, losing the ball far too easily as well. We had to really attack this game from the off. We didn't but it doesn't surprise me one bit!Very frustrating - we lost energy and momentum in midfield when Browne was switched to right-back.
