Matchday Thread Coventry City v PNE -23/02/24 - KO:7.45PM

[Sid Snot]

That period when we had Healy, Macken and McBride (i know McBride never scored for us), i thought we could outscore anyone in the division

I think he scored 1, at home, against QPR. I was there.

[nigelscamelcoat]

He didn't have Riis available for more than half of it though.

Yep, more to do with personnel.

[NORTHENDRTOPS]

Cheapskate.
Only a pound more for a full 12"

that'd being tears to your eyes

Dear Ryan

You've discovered a team that can win football matches... Don't tinker. 😉

I would be more prone to say, Dear Ryan , keep your gob shut in the dressing room before the 2nd half.

[monky1234]

Well done for finding something to moan about when we're 3-0 up at half time away against a play off rival.

It's not moaning. It's relief 👍

I'm a badge wearing Lowe critic but even i've got to admit that he seems to have found a formula, but is that run of 5 in 22 going to cost us a spot in the top 6. It would be classic north end to miss out by 6 points when we've lost totally winnable games in a season.

Listen to what Marsh and Murphy are telling you 😉

i completely forgot about that, but yes, according to wiki he did score 1

[Dirty Harry]

3rd goal officially an OG

[northend nevets]

Up there with the Cardiff thumping OG header from "That" year

[northender0602]

If we had Riis from the start of the season we would have been in the top 2

No because Lowe wouldn’t have played mads enough and Riis would have been a lone striker

[cragtek]

Woodburn's on for Riis.

(Just kidding)

[jarjar]

If Riis scores a hat-trick in this one, I will get the 🇩🇰 tattooed on my face*

Scored 1 v QPR.

We won 5-0.

Off memory.

Yeah, smashed it in if I remember.

McBride was one of the best players I’ve seen at aerial challenges - he didn’t just win them, he managed to direct them to a North End player more often than not.

[OB1]

Coventry gone to a back 3

[norky84]

Playing golf today while watching the game. I’ll see a lot of bogeys..

Coventry are seeing us as a bogey yet again. To be fair, I didn't see 3 nil at half time. Great half.

McBride was unlucky with injury

Fuck me, it never stops. How the fuck can you or anyone else be criticising Lowe at the moment.
