QPRs only double this season. They owe us big time for keeping them up.And that was against a team who will probably be relegated.

Well, I'm afraid it's neededYou are asking too much for the budget, that’s for sure.
Woodburn oficially being released? Is Seddon still in the know now hes not working for the LEP?
I can see it now.
July - woodburn released.
Trains with us during pre season to keep him in the shop window.
August rolls around - lowey comes out saying Ben has been playing like a man possessed as we resign him for another year.
Bookmark it folks 🤣
Ryan Lowe doesn’t recognise the team that has performed the same way for 60% of the season….
Tonight was ever much as bad as the loss to them at home although that was probably with more of the regular first 11 out.
Same as every season, too many losses against bottom 8 teams is why this club keeps falling short of 6th by at least 10 points.
Totally charitable that.
Leicester game going to be some spectacle. Promotion rammed down the throat.
Hopefully plenty of empty seats.

The players know full well that most of them will still be here next year on good money. Lack of the basic skills is no barrier to continuing playing for North End and they are well aware that the Club can't afford to replace either them, the clueless manager or the equally poor training staff.
They have no need to be concerned about their futures at all. Don't be surprised to see Woodburn, Evans and most of the squad back for next season. Only Millar, Brown, Bauer and maybe a couple of others may be gone with a very small number of Division One second rate journeymen arriving. Badges and the Riddler will still be spouting the same crap we hear every week. Our Fantastic optimistic Fan Base will still be buying season tickets and enjoying mid/lower table obscurity.
Is there no escape from this time warp?

I can't believe that we still have fans who actually think this club is interested in progressing from the level we are at. We can blame the managers and players down the years, we've had good and bad on both counts all come and gone. What we have never had (in my 40 years) is a genuine backer who has been prepared to put in what's needed push us over the line. Our current owners appear to be happy with where we are at and fair play they stuff in millions more than I do so I dare say they don't care too much about my or your opinion. Sack Lowe by all means but the new manager remit will only be to find the next nodding dog. Next years season tickets will be sold yet again on the promised big push and a couple of days in Benidorm playing Barcelona ladies C team. We all love this club but I so wish that the people who run it did too
I think he's definitely been on the decline recently.
In addition to the above - which I think isn't far from the mark either based on recent performances - he communicates very poorly. So many times you see a ball in an area where it's unclear who should be dealing with it, so just needs the keeper to give a big shout to let the defender know what should be happening. Instead Woodman will often come to try and collect but the defender plays the ball in a no-nonsense way regardless, which means he clearly hasn't said a peep.
If there's someone willing to take him and we can get Rotherham's keeper for similar/less, that's a no-brainer.
You will get people on here saying you are crazy but I agree. Has he ever had a bad game against us? 6ft 4, commands his area and a good shot stopper. He was the difference between Rotherham being minus whatever the are to minus 100+. Also, the last keeper we got directly from Rotherham (Tunks) didn't turn out too bad did he?I think he's definitely been on the decline recently.

All I can say is go and find that backer who is daft enough to pour their millions into a poorly supported team. Let's be honest, if we made the promised land as soon as we started to lose the drifters would soon drift away.I can't believe that we still have fans who actually think this club is interested in progressing from the level we are at. I think the majority will be happy that we got there
You wouldn't be able to get near Deepdale on match day if we went up. Preston is packed full of replica shirt wearers who would be there week in week out to watch their hero's beat their home town club! All I can say is go and find that backer who is daft enough to pour their millions into a poorly supported team. Let's be honest, if we made the promised land as soon as we started to lose the drifters would soon drift away.

Baxi did in fairness. Already had momentum in 2000/01 and Moyes was backed mid season to get in Healy for 1.5m and Richard Cresswell who was a premier league squad striker at the time. Cressy signed for 500k that summer.
With Macken that was a strikeforce of 4-5m and Fuller was then added a year later.
The club has been so bad at general trading in last decade that 2m signings are still celebrated on here as breaking the bank when it should be the bare minimum from ambitious ownership.
I thought on the whole last season's transfer window was decent. We'll soon see if that was an anomaly from Hemmings Jr or the general business practice from the club going forward now.
Caught the second half after golf. Very inept, against an average team.
Another poor end to a season that at times promised to be a good one
Just so inconsistent. At times we've been good to watch and the players look Championship quality but other times we've been just awful.
All in all when the season ends, the table will show we've been bang average again.
Next season will be the same as it's been since our return to the Championship and I'm not sure a change in manager would make any difference.
Until the investment required is made then we will continue to tread water, backed enough to ensure we survive but no more.
Groundhog day.

Happily, I can't be there as I have another commitment and thanks to Sky for moving it. Even if I were able to go, I wouldn't. Cannot stand the sight of seeing yet another set of fans celebrating at our place.Totally charitable that.
