Have we Improved under Heckingbottom/Hecky Out.

Hes the most likeable manager I can remember us having.

Billy I loved, as I did Moysie. Hecky just stinks of being a genuinely nice bloke.

Mrs Heckingbottom is very lucky, I bet he cooks and runs her baths the lot.
I just fell off my chair

The positive signs were there last season. Now we're reaping the rewards. Trust the process 😄

I said not too long ago, I do think Heckingbottom is of a similar level to Neil. The tail end of the Neil era was dire and that's because the quality in the squad was diminishing, with players that are still here now. And we're getting similar performances and results.

Yes Heckingbottom has made some poor selections and subs, as any manager does, but there's been signs during the season, when everyone has been fit, that there could be something there to build on if we get better players, which wasn't the case under the previous manager. So I do have faith that if we actually get the right players in, we could start to see better. But with our finances, we're more than one window away from all of a sudden sorting out the squad to have it competing to a much better level.

It’s all very relative and pretty baseless but I really do wish we had Heckingbottom and McCall in charge when Blackpool were in the division.

Those two away trips under the Postman and Lowey were easily two of the worst days I’ve had in football. Truly awful.

We would have absolutely smoked them under this management.

Hopefully we get them in the cup and batter than at ‘Bloomers’

I think the squad and management deserve an awful lot of credit for this period of fixtures in between the international breaks.
I always feel we are a bit vulnerable when games come thick and fast (6 in 3 weeks) at this time of year. Injuries start to pile up which will always affect our small squad, while other teams start to gel after recruiting heavily in the summer.
I felt we could be looking a little vulnerable come the next break, especially so at 2-0 down to Sheffield utd...was easy to see us sliding down to 14th/15th, key players injured, and alarm bells starting to ring. We could feasibly go in to the next break in 2nd...
The turn around since half time against Sheffield is great testament to the spirit and resilience in the squad. Understandably the young loan lads are getting a large proportion of the plaudits, but the 'old guard' of Hughes, Storey, Whiteman deserve a lot of credit IMO...playing every minute of every game and clearly a huge influence on the positive spirit we are witnessing to grind out results with a depleted squad.

Apparently we’ll tumble down the table once injuries kick in

Nice to see a few of them put the thick fucker straight

What he's done on a shoestring budget and all the injuries, osmajic bs etc, is remarkable. The team is likeable and clearly work well together

Just imagine if he had even a poultry 5m to spend or could've got another striker in this team

Surely, surely, you’re not suggesting the Venkys are these mystery new buyers someone has been hinting at?

Why are they obsessed with atmosphere? Gloomfield, most of the time, is like a funeral. And rather unsurprisingly, much like every other stadium in the entire fucking world, it's a bit louder when they're doing well.

Fuck me.

That's a pretty good review from SeasideKunt. I am stunned.

Yeah, that’s freaked me out that, doesn’t sit right with me.

Quite a few sensible posts in general tbf although a lot of it revisionary. Plenty of mentions about good use of the loan market etc but not two months ago same people were saying relegation nailed on.

I think we look so good, there's belief, some clever football, togetherness, and desire. I believe that squad fears no team in the Championship, they can go up against anyone. Injuries is what might banjax us this season, and loan recalls
