April 19, 2007, was due to take family out but falls & lake still frozen solid.
Should have been open, had to do the “journey behind the falls.” Got a nice family picture. ☹️
Been to the falls a few times still not done the journey behind the falls, maybe next year on my next visit?

Well I was pleased to see that the away fixture against West Ham is not the week-end of 21-23 August when I will be away. I have said here before that I have had a feeling for some time we would be playing West Ham at their relatively new place at some point and so it will be.
As it happens I was in the vicinity of the stadium a couple of weeks back and from the outside it is an impressive sight - walking towards it is a bit like walking towards the old Wembley. It will make for a great day out for those of you coming down from Preston and even for me who needs to do no more than get the DLR from Lewisham. Otherwise an early return to Charlton and another early season visit to QPR.
I still have a feeling we will find ourselves at the new Tottenham stadium before too long - I have been inside it if only for a business event and it is probably the most spectacular football stadium I have ever seen. Maybe if we make progress in the Carabao Cup we will get there before Christmas.

I can confirm Ernest, that the Tottenham Stadium is indeed impressive. Went there for, I think theopening game of the season against Newcastle a couple of seasons back👍

Would have likely had to have been moved anyway. Massive game for them and their lot can't behave at the best of times

Be fair mate, it’s a big day out.

You’d get giddy too if you saw high street shops, busy restaurants and the market/Animate area when all you’re used to is vape shops, one star takeaways and Kurdish barbers.

They are a pain in the arse but only doing what the clubs agreed to when the tv package was set up. Clubs are as much to blame as Sky but are just happy taking the extra money thrown there way
100%.

The Clubs are as much to blame as Sky. They just see the money & don’t give a toss about the fans.

Despite being away for two weeks from Christmas Eve it looks like I’ll only miss Derby at home which I’ll take

Bit shit with the Bolton Blackburn 12.30s but highly expected these days

Seems to be fewer and fewer sat 3pms every season
