Best home record in the championship.....

Best home record in the championship.....

I guess things have changed a lot then when i used to go on it started as me and my friend from my street in Leyland but slowly I would get the Everton fan and the Man Utd fan to come with me then even a blackburn fan would go and then after a while they became Preston Fans the only one i could not get to go was the Blackpool fan down the road 🙂

you right the only solution is a year or two having full houses in the top flight

the game is growing and i want Preston to be up there so bad..

here in the states all three Premier games where available to watch live and right now watching the cup. I dream of watching PNE every week 🙂

Its not the clubs fault.
The team are getting excellent results at home. Its the fans who just don't want to turn up. Yet they all claim to be PNE supporters.

I wonder if the fact that so many fans who do attend seem to do nothing but moan despite the league topping home form, might have something to do with it?

winning home games, and sitting 4th in the table, should be enough to get bums on seats.

That really was the whole point of my thread..

Im not criticising the club - i just find it amazing that we are riding high in the league with a possibility of reaching the top division for the first time in 50 years and still people dont get motivated to come and support us !!!

Here's a list of things that keep fans away from Deepdale (not comprehensive)

lack of atmosphere
No smoking in toilets
Too many women attend

Tosh. None of those reasons are valid for keeping you away from the football. Who actually doesn't attend because 'Lonergan is crap' or because of the programmes? I have several friends who don't come on but moan about PNE not doing better. They don't come on because they can't be arsed or want to sepnd their £20 ticket money in the pub or on weed or whatever. It is their fault and nobody else's.

If you call yourself a fan but don't attend whenever you can afford to, you are the problem. End of.

Why should they? I cannot believe you even said that 🙁

They should because they are the custodians of the company for the shareholders thats why. Oh and they get paid to do so :youl:
They've put together a team that are 4th in the league.
Given a six for five deal for the rest of the season.
Held prices for next season.

What more do you lazy bastards want? Just sit on your fat arses and expect everything done for you. I don't mean you in particular Joan, I know you're a proper fan. Its these 'I want it, you must provide' idiots.

Whooooooosh - you obviously didn't see the sarcastic smiley😛

Nothing.

Well there is this 6 for the price of 5 deal that was launched before the Ipswich game. Get tickets for the rest of the remaining home games (6) for the price of 5. Not a great deal else though.

Yes, perhaps that is right, but, every time the club launch some sort of deal apparently the season ticket holders don't like it. So it must be very difficult to implement an offer and at the same time not offend season ticket holders.

Can they really be expected to offer a better deal than was on offer for the last six matches?

Oh, and there are the other small points about us being in 4th spot and with the best home record in the country........🙄.

I know this sounds like Voldemort but ...

despite league position and home form, your average trip to deepdale just isnt particularly entertaining anymore, granted yesterday was one of the best games ive seen for a while but I cant really blame anyone for not busting a gut or making attending a priority. Its just isnt that fun anymore.

It would be very easy for me to tell everyone they are shit fans if they dotn attend whenever they can like I do, but the truth is its very easy for me to attend. I have a decent job, with the majority of my income being disposable, I live 5 minutes away from deepdale, i dont have a family of my own.

you have to take into account people have other things in their life bar PNE FFS. If Deepdale was a truly exciting place to go to on a matchday then maybe it might be worth a family forking out the best part of a ton to go, or people might be able to get a couple of mates on for a laugh a bit more regularly, but if I had a family, at the moment in the current climate, I dont think id be spending that sort of money to get on.

Football just isnt like it used be (not the clubs fault really), its unfortunate and sad, but its the truth.

Please enlighten me how much do tickets cost for a game ?
and in comparasion to lets say a movie ticket or a starbucks? is it good value for a afternoons entertainment?

Let me tell you what puts people off Daz. Last week, I was up at 4.30 a.m. (as were most of my fellow travelling fans). It cost well over £50 just for the ticket and coach fare (in these times that is a lot of money to find). On top of that, there is the usual food and drink (and I don't usually drink alcohol) etc. We got to the ground looking forward to a good game, even thinking 1 point would be good away from home.

We got, a could'** care less, we have reached our target so its holiday time for us, not interested how far you lot travelled to support us attitude. Now these fat lazy barstards (if you call the fans then it has to be the same for that lot) had gone down by plane, stayed in a 5 star hotel overnight, and then travelled home in a far more luxurious coach than ours, that they paid not 1 penny towards. They got paid for being there too. Now there is an example of sitting on your arse expecting everything done for you.😡

After that, if 20 people that don't normally go to watch them travelled to Southampton, how many of those do you think would return to Deepdale? Add those to the number that will not come back after we played Southampton at Deepdale and that should give you some clue why people wont spend their money on PNE when there are other things to entertain them.

The customer by the way, pays the money, the club are paid to ensure they sell the tickets to the customers not the other way round. People work, and find it hard to get to the ticket office (which contrary to popular belief is not in a prime location 🙄). As for 5 for 6 thats a good idea, as is the frozen prices on season tickets, but I could have thought of that and put it on the internet it would have taken 10 minutes tops, what makes the customer fat and lazy when that is all the club did 😛

Who said the season ticket holders don't like it? I am a season ticket holder, as are quite a lot of my friends, and not one of them has ever complained about any offers.

They all sounds like the moans of someone who attends rather than people who never attend, they wouldn't be aware of most of those to be persuaded against attending

(unless someone has told them, where's that "PNE fans responsible for lack of ambition" thread again)
