to give up on the Kop and relocate to the Town End? After Saturdays coining I'm certainly considering it but I have major reservations.
First off why should the chavs win? Answer is they shouldn't. Problem is they are there every game whether they lob a coin at you or not. This is reason enough but I have better reasons to move but I have concerns about doing it.
My reason for sitting in the Kop for starters is I want to participate in generating atmosphere as it enhances my enjoyment of the day and also I believe it helps the team and it also enhances the reputation of the club and it's fans which could in turn attract more fans and thus swell the coffers.
Ideally I would like the Town End to be our "Kop" but I think the fans who are holding the season tickets in the middle three blocks are about as creative, vocal and partisan as the residents of Ribbleton cemetry. Every time I've had to move over there I'm constantly told by some flask-bearing-misery to sit down, and looked at as though I've got two heads if I shout or sing. What on earth they are doing at a live game I don't know. Why the hell they are sitting in our supposed atmosphere creating end, I know not least.
I propose PSG contacting the club and booking the middle block of seats for their members as a reclaim the Town End for atmosphere campaign, and let's actually do something positive. We need to move forward, and for me a move that would hear us singing proper football chants and sitting away from the shell-suit wearing, coin throwing, shoe waving, baseball capped chavs would be a welcome one.
