No Gunter but dont
I love the bit where AI states "it is hard to bring in someone who knows how we play".
I would have thought there are loads of players who can consistantly play shite away from home!!!!!
I believe the technical term for our tactics is "Pass it to Wallace or if he's marked, welly the fucker in Parkin's direction".

Simple yet strangely effective at home. Pity it's such a shite system away.
I thought Gunter would have been a good signing, can play left or right back and that would give us the opportunity to play Davidson or Jones in midfield in Chaplows absence. We really do need to make a few signings.
I agree 100%. We need anyone rather than Davies🙁

Davies was brought in as without Youl we had no one really to play centre back. Nolan was playing left back, Jones right back and that was all we had. I'd have loved Gunter to come in, but unless we get a major injury in Defence, it isn't happening. Interesting to hear him mention other areas being a priority.

If you think we need a CM most wouldn't it be best bringing a CM in? rather than a RB to play LB so the LB can play CM?
Playing too many players out of position would just lead to loads (more) mistakes.

Yes but I dont know of any central midfielders that would be available on loan. If AI can find one, happy days, if not then I think hes silly not going in for Gunter.
I feel we should bring 2 loan players in to get the buzz back, everything seems a bit dead at the moment. The fans & players should be buzzing at this point.

Stoke were hawking Dave Kitson around as available for loan, awsome in his time at this level, he for one could do for us what Bobby Zamora did for West Ham the season they went up at our expense.
Theres some awesome midfielders ( kids ) at Man utd and liverpool ( and probably wigan and Bolton come to that ) that could transform our team as well, think PNE have failed to make use of loan signings in the way that others have over the last couple of years, the ones good at it have been promoted, hull as an example.
I know the manager has said he does,nt like using loan signings, but needs must especially if your at a club that cannot afford to sign them on a permanent basis.

You silly bastard Preben , i nearly choked when i read that..FPML😛
For two years we cried out for a left winger,so why is wallace chosen to play right side in favour of others ,another one of many playing out of position .
To get a better goal average?😕

Stoke where also rans until they Made some canny loan signings.
Look at who they signed on loan in the 06/07 season when they were struggling.
Andy Griffin Portsmouth
Lee Hendrie Aston Villa
Salif Diao Liverpool
Rory Delap Sunderland
Liam Lawrence Sunderland
Patrik Berger Aston Villa
Lee Martin Man Utd
Johnathan Fortune Charlton
Jon Parkin Hull
they gave people a lift and seemingly changed the clubs mentality. They finished that season strongly and took that into the next season and got promoted.
