Just got a SMS through saying that the game is unlikely to be a sell out so tickets are going on general sale.

Sheff Utd were abit harsh on the fans.

They started selling the tickets to people with around 9,000 loyalty points, something we'd probably introduce if we ever got to the Prem.

9,000 was the roughly the equivalent of having a season ticket for the last 5 seasons and going to more than half of the away games. They sold 1000 and then dropped it down to 4,000 loyalty points.

Now its on general sale I expect it to sell out definitely. They took 7,500 down to London last week to Palace also.

Hold on a second, is it saying that Sheff United aren't expected to sell their allocation, or us ? Cos if it's them then that's poor !

EDIT - I just read it properly now and I understand before you all start crying 🙂

The website's WANK. I have a fucking season ticket and whenever I try to buy a ticket, it doesn't transfer to the basket. And now it's saying I have no allocation left.

Ben Rhodes just been on radio Lancashire.

17,000 tickets sold in the home areas, 3000 remaining.

Sheffield United have so far sold 2,000

The phone lines are open till 10pm this evening and on sale from tomorrow morning, to anyone in the Preston area, whether you are registered or not.

1,500-2,000 are expected to be availble for sale tomorrow morning and they forecast they will be sold by early afternoon.

I managed to get it working. Needed to be on Internet Explorer, for which there is no excuse. Get it sorted for next season, PNE.

Just got my ticket luckily, but they were asking people if they were on the database.
I said "I thought they went on general sale today?" and the guy said "Nope, we're not doing a general sale, because there's a chance that Sheffield United fans might buy them and cause trouble in the home stands. You have to be on the database".

Was this on the telephone or at the ticket office?

At the ticket office, Tom Finney one.
They were asking people if they were on the database before they went in, and turning people away if they weren't on it.

Does the left hand know what the right hands doing ?????

Just got back from the ticket office. Bought 4 Kop tickets, no questions asked. No database, no postcode, nothing. Well done for seeing sense North End.

Thanks for that pne, but the whole thing has been a bit of a joke. In my book 'general sale' means to anyone. All they did was release season ticket seats that hadnt been sold.
Lets just hope IF we get to wembley, lessons have been learnt.
