i cant see that due to the lact of pace in the team, the team will be the same as sat and we will just play like we have done for the last 4 up to the sheff u match

I agree with this. Although we need someone to replace Sedgwick when he starts to look useless.
maybe you could replace him with Elliott, and then put Elliott on the left wing and Wallace on the right, as they both possess decent pace. Although this I suppose would be if all else fails, just an idea though.
Would definetely start Brown and Parkin though, and I think we should make the most of Parkin's long throw if we find ourselves behind, no matter what minute of the game we're in. We've got a couple of bodies in there who can cause trouble, St Ledger, Mawene, Brown.

I'd go with that team. bit of pace (?) on the wings and bit of beef up front. have mellor and elliott on the bench in reserve. 1 question. sedge or nicholson on the bench?

Nicholson to me is a bit of an invisible man...i also think the passing and vision of mellor is key, maybe play him with brown? although i also wouldnt drop Parkin atm...trickey eh!!

I'd swap the wingers over a-la-Cardiff-at-home as the inswinging balls will hit the beast better.

Brown on @ half time if Mellor isn't in the game.

passing? vision? he hasnt touched the ball in the last 2 games!

Not a fan of Whaley but prefer him to Sedgwick, has the pace which we need down the wings, not only going forward but also tracking back, sedgwick was miles off his man on many occasions on friday. Whaley hasn't shown much desire this season or the last really and wouldn't mind him being replaced in the summer but i think he'd be up for it if given the start tomorrow and seems the better option to sedgwick and the often ineffective nicholson.
 
Cant see Whaley even making the bench tonight it's pretty obvious Al only picks him when no one else is available.
Sedge will start and with a keeper, 2 strikers and Chilvers on the bench only 1 midfielder will be on the bench and Barry Nicholson can give us cover in more than 1 position Whaley probably will have to make do with a place in the stands.

Yes but the most recent starting eleven haven't won a game!

Priority should go to those who play with determination, skill and endeavour.....even if played out of normal position.

More of the same is not an option. Innovative tactics are called for.

(but not 4 strikers😱)
