My guess is that you rang them many times!

Too many times at the wrong time!😱
 
Its an 0844 number not 0870, and the calls were made from a bt landline.

The calls were made on the thursday, the day the ticket office re-took control of the line.

Where does it say they make money?

If they do then its very very wrong. If its due to some crappy contract they've got with a phone company they need to get it sorted.

and every time it does that it will cost a minimum of 13p from a BT landline. Considerably more from others

As usual having to play Devils Advocate

Cost of a daytime BT call to an 01/02 Local/National phone line UK calls - up to 1 hour 4.50p per minute + 8p setup charge

Cost of daytime BT call to 0844 856 "Premium"*cough* line (g6 banding) g6 - Calls not including Internet Services 4.894p per minute + 6p setup charge


So a 1 second phone call is cheaper to an 0844 number than a normal landline.

The fact is, it appears BT or whoever have screwed up the billing if it was engaged, can't see the club being at fault(bar getting loads more phone lines nad getting everyone on hold for even longer)

did you call from a mobile, if so blame your service provider.

Why did you use the phone?

the on-line service was very efficient and cost free.
