Two immature fuckers with a grudge I dare suggest. Davies will probably come out on top over Derek though I feel.
It was an initial fee of just over half the figure which rises to 650,000£ if Nottingham Forrest are promoted.
Think we'll still hold out for the extra 100,000£ though..

What I don't get in all this is how excited Forest fans seem to be getting over McKenna.
If he does leave PNE it will be a huge gap in our squad, but for fans of a club like Forest who have paraded players such as Gemmill and Keane in midfield to get excited over a tackle and pass type of player is weird. Has Davies sold them so much bull they are mesmerised?
They also seem to think that we need a replacement before we can sell. We needed a midfielder before all this talk and if McKenna goes we would need a second.
Another puzzle for me is Forest's new found wealth. I know they have big support but are they not risking being the next Leeds, Southampton or Charlton by blindly backing a manager with a penchant for collecting as many players as he can regardless of quality and value?

I thought we'd turned down 3 offers already. The latest one being £800k?? Maybe they think if they put in a cheeky offer £150k lower than the last offer, we might not notice.
Happens at every level of the game, some clubs don't seem to like it when the boot is on the other foot though..
