This is becoming a worry even at this early stage of the season. We have now given away 4 points to the opposition for failing to kill a team off and failing to stamp our authority.

The controversy over the penalty wouldn't have mattered if we had killed a team off who were short on confidence and with a large crowd on their back.

We failed to do it at Doncaster and yesterday we failed to do it again. Thats 4 points and we would have been sitting pretty at the top of the league and been in a position where if we did get beat in the last minite or concede a goal to draw then it wouldn't have matterd as much.

Alan Irvine is doing a great job and I am in no way shape or form criticising him but I would just like us to kill a team off early take the chances because you cannot account for the odd deflection/pen/free kick that results in a goal.

I hope AI gets couple of players in but I would like to see that 20 goal man arrive.
 
Bloody hell mate. Killing a team off in the first 45 minutes away from home isn't an unreasonable request is it? After that, going down to 10 men meant this was a brilliant result.

Sorry but you are asking too much there.

i think every team would like to see a 20 goal a season man join their club but they are as rare as rocking horse shit mate and if they do come availble you bet your bottom doller you will ahve to pay through the nose for them. No mate the main thing is we are creating chances and iam sure that we will soon start putting them away. Yesterday was unfortunate as the three best chance fell to Parkin......... if they had fallen to Chris Brown or Mellor or stevie elliott it would have been game over but thats life i suppose mate

To be honest I do think we let Ipswich of the hook yesterday. We absolutely dominated the first 30 minutes but then we started dropping too deep and allowed them to play themselves into the game. The main culprit was Chaplow, interestingly 2nd half he was playing further forward and constantly harrying their central players and robbing them of possession. If he kept doing this all 1st half we could well have avoided the problems which led to them getting back in the game.

just so you know we havent lost yet, home or away!!!!!

all our strikers are getting goals

most our players have stayed fit over pre season and are playing well together but yet you want us to kill off teams in the first half...have a day off

THE TEAM NEED CONFIDENCE FROM THE FANS AND POSTS THAT START WITH RUBBISH AND NEGATIVITY DONT HELP!!

do i fuck think that,the players arent arsed, but the more negative stuff that is posted doesnt exactly give the fans a boost in morale, last week things were confident on here for a change, and now the dribble starts again.


The point is, lets be confident in our team and stop expecting us to be top of the pile every week.

football doesnt work like that but then you would already know that.

i don't care who you are, when u read or hear something bad about yourself it plays on your mind no matter where it comes from.

in answer to the thread only on this forum can your read negative stuff about your team after a point away from home with ten men. unbelievable

So how would you know if stuff on here 'affects' the players? (which I very much doubt it would do).

Also, this is a forum so there's bound to be a wide range of opinions. If you don't like 'negativity' or in the case of this thread, constrcutive criticism, then don't read the forum instead of constantly whining about it.

I read this old crap a lot on here. Basically it translates to "this is a football forum which entitles people to talk utter bollocks!" like the OP is doing here. Fair enough.

With that as a given, don't berate people with a bit more sense can point out why such threads are fucking stupid like crispman is quite rightly doing here.

Great result yesterday, moaning about it is the act of a fool in my opinion.

Yeah, and I read a lot of this "stop being negative" crap on here.

If people's posts/opinions are negative, there's no point in constantly whining about it. 🙄
