Since then Smith has started way more matches than probably even he was expecting. He is doing his best but there are limits. Jebbison can't get a run with these niggles so the opportunity is there especially with the better than expected start.

If what is needed is to get Keane off the books then that is up to Riddler as he basically handed Keane a new two year deal from speculative West Brom interest so up to him to clean things up there seeing as Will has had a good 18 months of championship pay not contributing a huge deal.

It does look terrible, but honestly, I’m envious of it massively, as you said to a degree it’s irrelevant what it looks like, they have ambitious owners who have actually thought about its design, factored in their past and used it. So best of luck to them. Compare that to the owner of hull who tried to rebrand them hull city tigers. I’d love something half ambitious here.

We however have agreed it would have to be in the first two weeks.

The lad sent off was always going to be away for Afcon anyway so wouldn't have thought it would make any difference as Everton knew this before they loaned Armstrong to us.
