Oh yes, fantastic passion shown at colchester!I'd been out in Richmond the night before and was feeling awful that morning, the football definitely brought me back round again, we could do with players with their passion in the squad these days
I can think of one person who’s improved their own position immensely. Can anyone think of any area where we have improved as a club since that promotion 10 wasted years ago?
Unfortunately not to the benefit of the club overallI can think of one person who’s improved their own position immensely.

Reality was that they were a group of players who barely managed to get us out of that league and nearly didnt.Fucking hell pal, you’re even more dour than usual today
I dont buy into what our owners have milked since that day.
I think the reason MK Dons took second was Dele Alli. They came straight back down without him.Reality was that they were a group of players who barely managed to get us out of that league and nearly didnt.
We initially consolidated before stagnating.

Harsh. That team were a group of warriors.Reality was that they were a group of players who barely managed to get us out of that league and nearly didnt.

They got 89 points in the league. That’s some points haul to not get promoted automatically.
That total would have won the league outright in plenty of seasons.
The turnaround from the despair of Colchester to win the Play Offs and aggregate of 8-0 was amazing. And something Grayson and the players deserve huge credit for.
Enjoy it for what it was, you miserable get.

We got promoted on merit at the end of the day and buried a play off hoodoo.Harsh. That team were a group of warriors.

Jermaine Beckford was amazing for us after a dodgy start.

Went there in 81, lost 0-4 and a mate ended up in hospital overnight after being jumped by some backward neanderthals acting as supporters on he way to the ground.Swindon is a nice place. I went there a long time ago to support the North End and the occasion was marred by bottle throwing in their supporters club by idiots who supposedly supported us - I still feel a sense of shame about that. Maybe they will come up to join us in the Championship some day - assuming we have not risen higher - and if so I might be tempted to travel out there for the match.
Shithole and one of my least favourite clubs in my time of watching us.
I was 12 at the time and I’d joined the Junior Whites, it was the first season they’d had the club. At the first meeting in the old club on the Monday after that game, they showed a recording of the game to us all!Went there in 81, lost 0-4 and a mate ended up in hospital overnight after being jumped by some backward neanderthals acting as supporters on he way to the ground.

The most mediocre team in English football…
This is my fucking point when the 'get behind the lads' brigade at work pipe up and tell me how cheap the ST's are. I'm just like 'you're just watching lots of meaningless stuff happening'. It's like a pointless side plot in a film going nowhere but doing it for 24 x 90 minute periods.
You wouldn't watch that film would you?
So why the fuck are we all buying into this then?
I'm dead popular.
That took me about 2 seconds.
None.

Certainly was and If I ever see him again I'll thank him for putting an end to our catastrophic play off record, in style, too.Jermaine Beckford was amazing for us
A (rare) great day. We have had so many let downs I still wasn't confident we would win till the game went into injury time! Sad we've stagnated since.
I was confident, largely due to the experience, character and quality we had in the side.
Was even wearing a 10th time lucky T-shirt.
Allowed me to thoroughly enjoy the whole day.
Ten times unlucky for the Blades now I think.
