Can I just have clarification on closing threads from one of the mods without a personal agenda against certain members.

Is it now policy that a Mod can reopen a thread just so they can have the last word? It would seem this thread, closed early doors at 10.43, was then reopened at 07.23 just so a Mod could post before closing it again.

Only when I was a Mod that wasn't allowed.

Cheers.

You're forgetting that the Mods don't have 'agendas' or that they 'single out' certain posters.*

*Apparently.

I've reported for discussion, though just to add the thread wasn't re-opened, it's more that posts can still be made by Moderators even when closed. Depends if it was noticed the thread was closed, on Tapatalk you can still see closed threads but there is a tiny lock symbol, once you're n the thread it looks like a normal thread and can be posted to. On the main website it's more obvious when a thread is locked due to the symbols

The audit log shows the last action was the closing, hasn't been reopened

I'll be honest Jake cha, I've never 'not noticed' a thread was closed......

Just looks like one Mod abusing his position to harass another poster to me.

Maybe that warning never worked.

I didnt know that. Just checked on tapatalk and I do still have the ability to post, perhaps something that could be looked into?

Here you can see, once in a thread I get the reply box

Two issues here - firstly, if Nobber has deliberately reopened the thread to single out a particular poster the his position as Mod has to come into question given this a blatant abuse of his powers.

However, if he is telling the truth, and I've no reason to think he is lying, then I also think his position as Mod should also be called I to question. I mean if he isn't able to understand/recognise the basic functions of the forum then should he be in a position where he can make mistakes like this? I mean what happens if something far more detrimental to the forum is posted and he is unable to deal with due to his lack of understanding?

Either way I feel his position as Mod has now become untenable.

Ive got to say thats garbage on both accounts. As ive just experimented, myself, I can post on that particular thread without opening it, also, until today, when this was highlighted, i wasnt aware that this was possible at all. A quirk of the forum that possibly should be looked at by admin, certainly not one that makes anyones position untenable.

So was Nobber using Taptalk when he posted his post?

I'll be honest I don't think Nobber should be kicked off the Mods list, another warning for using his postion to harass others should suffice. But I will add two warnings is the maximum.

I havent a clue on that one but Ive found it interesting that, as ive experimented, a possible flaw is there in the software, something tha needs to be looked into really to stop this happening again.

Or just get a Mod who doesn't hold a personal vendetta and knows what he is doing?

I have to say I was also unaware of that flaw aswell, in fairness.

Are you aware of the padlock and closed thread notification you get/see when a thread is closed?

It seems Nobber isn't, but strange how he has never posted on a closed thread before. Make of that what you will.
