@raefil - when it happens again can you post which thread you were going on to and potentially which page of that thread was latest at the time. I'm wondering if it's a link/embed within someones post
 
We are clean.

I would do a full virus and malware check on your PC 🖥.

It could AVG trying it on to get you to upgrade or its something in your system.

I suspect this is the answer, done loads of scans, found nothing and this hasnt appeared since i reported it.

Different issue - I got this message about compromised passwords - which I have seen one or twice before in the past and told not to worry too much

But what concerns me is that bit near the top saying “last modified 16th March”. For sure, I haven’t modified my password since last time I got this message, maybe a couple of years ago - so what changed 2 weeks ago? (Also worth noting that the password I use here is very likely unique.)

Cheers for any thoughts on this (unless they come from preach).

Don't worry Reg, my profile says I changed my username in August 2020..... I haven't changed it in the ten years I've been here....... Maybe I was body snatched? 🙂

The last modified is the timestamp it was last modified in your device, not on this site.

Either way basically it means that the string/phrase/whatever that you set for a password on here has been found to match in a list of passwords from ANOther password leak from what could be any other site. All it means is if someone really wanted to use your Regardless account on here they could go through every single known leaked password in the billions so far to try and find a match (brute force basically)

Now there's a Q and A session Jake how come I'm being accused of being a dodgy git?........... ha ha ...... I'm guessing it was when the site was re vamped ( 2020) and was automatic? 🙂
